5 oz pour in a flight at Yard House San Diego.
Medium amber color, not much lacing. Aroma is very fragrant with berries, a nice fresh smell, not artificial. Rather bland fizzy mouthfeel, but a god balance of wheat beer with fresh berry flavor, not sweet, the berries don't overwhelm. Fruit flavored beer is not my favorite style, but this is nice and refreshing, the berry flavro doesn't become annoying or tiring. Well done.

Review from BeerAdvocate Magazine Issue #40 (May 2010):
The new berry of the month is now a beer flavor. We're not sure about the level of antioxi- dants per 22-ounce bottle though.
Actively flowing carbonation holds a stiff white head together. With a faintly hazed, pale golden color and berry nose, there is not much else to the beer. This super-crisp brew is palate cleansing and very dry ... bone dry. Beery flavor up front drops a faux sweetness, which quickly dissipates to show that dryness again. Light body, check. Simple malt base, check. Hops? Hello?! OK, so hops took a break here, though with the dryness, they weren't really needed. Faint berry flavor in the end with a very clean aftertaste.
Possibly straying away from beer here; I am thankful the berry character is not turned up too high. On par with the 1990s fruit craze. Decent.

22oz bomber. Brewed with organic açai berries from Brazil along with a mix of four other organic berries as well. Pours into my glass a light golden sunrise yellow color with a small bubbly white head on top. Lots of active carbonation bubbles up. Aromas start with crisp, slightly grainy wheat malts along with fruity dark berries. Blueberry comes through along with some earthiness. Overall aroma is quite mellow here.
First sip brings crisp, somewhat dry wheat upfront that rolls into berry flavors. Blueberry is there along with some chocolate earthiness from the acai berries. Flows down crisp with a light bitterness. Refreshing and drinkable but not very contemplative.
Mouthfeel is light and crisp with fast moving small bubbles of carbonation. Quite refreshing overall and the fruit flavor is well balanced so as not to be overbearing. Would make a good summer quencher, but not something I would seek out regularly.

The beer pours a golden color with a white head. The aroma is full of very sweet berries and a hint of wheat. I guess it might be acai, but I have no idea what that berry smells like. The flavor is similar. There is a lot of sweet berry notes, as well as a hint of wheat. The berries smell a bit like a combination of cherries and raspberries. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Light golden color. Tiny head. Light berry smell. Don't agree with them filtering the wheat. Needs more carbonation. Still a decent beer. This is a good summer quencher. Berry flavor is light. I expected that due to the cost of acai berries. My girl liked it and would drink again. I'm one and done with this beer.

Fresh 12 oz bottle with an updated label.
Amber; weak head despite fairly high visible carbonation.
Feel: medium-light body; medium-high carbonation. Dry finish.
Flavor: good, nearly neutral sweet/bitter balance. Very fruity, with the acai berries nearly masking the malts. Lingering fruity flavor.
Aroma: very fruity; natural fruit; subtle bready malt base.
O: worth tryig for acai flavor.

The color is a clear dark yellow/gold. A pure white head forms at about a finger with low retention and leaves no lacing on my glass.
The smell is, for the most part, what i expect. The berries and wheat are in almost equal parts on the nose. There's an earthy freshness and a light, not quite sourness, for lack of a good descriptor, indicating that berries are used in actuality rather than artificial flavoring. It would be better if there was a balancing very light sweetness or more from either hops or malt, and if it was a bit stronger.
The flavor is stronger than the aroma. The berry flavor hits the palate initially and gives way to a solid wheat/grains taste. The malt comes out a bit more strongly in the flavor as well.
The body is medium. Carbonation is low, and there's just the slightest crispness to this one. There is, however, a nice creamy smoothness that fills your mouth if you swirl it around.

There is not much berry smell in this beer which was surprising. It is very watery with the berry taste in the background. It has a spoiled sour taste to it. I couldn't even finish the bottle. There are many mass marketed non craft beers that I'd rather drink.

22oz bomber, a surprise find at the Village Green Liquor store in Vernon, BC.
This beer pours a slightly hazy medium straw colour, with one finger of soapy white head, which falls away quite quickly, leaving nary a speck of lace around the glass. It smells of sweet berry fruit, kind of like a mix of blueberry and red grapes, and mild grainy wheat. The taste is soft, mild, fruity acai berry, some wheatiness, and a bit of edgy, weedy hops. The carbonation is moderate, the body medium weight, smooth, and fruity. It finishes fairly sweet, the blend of berry and wheat consistent.
Not bad, not great, just a well-balanced fruit beer. I like it - it went down pretty fast...

A- Pours a slighlty hazes golden orange color with an off-white head.
S- The fruity aroma has some wheat and some faint berrie. As well. Not sure exactly what an acai berry smells like but I'm sure that is the berry notes I'm picking up in the nose.
T- The taste like the aroma is fruity with wheat, a hint of berries and a faint touch of hops.
M- the mouthfeel is light bodied with a high amount of carbonation.
D- Overall, this is an okay wheat beer. Not really my thing but would be a decent beer when looming for something light bodied and refreshing.

Bottle shared by largadeer on BA in a quest for the worst beer ever tasting. Wow, Eel River, WTF? Is this really a beer? This is basically the acai berry version of what I'd expect Bud Select 55 to taste like. Pours a clear, watery golden-yellow with a small white head. Aroma is very light with butter and light fruit juice. Flavor is mild acai berry, seltzer water, just a touch of wheat, and butter. Palate is almost exactly like Fruit2O or some other carbonated fruit water. Hey, at least it's drinkable. Good way to hydrate.

For a berry wheat beer. This is a good tasting one. Start out with the pour very clean filter look.
The smell is very fruity as it should. The taste is pretty good for a wheat beer.
This is a nice summer beer for those who like a light wheat beer. I would drink it on a very hot day or at your favorite concert tailgating event.

Many thanks to resi for sending this beer. Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a cloudy golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is rather mild, some berries. Taste is also of berries, some wheat, a bit sour at the finish. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and has good drinkability. Overall this is a good quality beer.

This beer reminds me of the carbonated, flavored water beverage "Clearly Canadian", but with alcohol. Though one can't really taste the alcohol contained in this brew. It is highly carbonated and does have a very refreshing quality to it. It would best be served to someone who isn't typically a beer drinker that does like wine coolers, or for a really hot day. It is a very clean and clear wheat, so people that don't like your typical wheat might also enjoy this, but not for me. It goes down easy and doesn't have an overwhelming fruit flavor which is good, but doesn't have much flavor at all which isn't so good for my tastes. It poured well for it's style and reminded me of drinking a typical american light/lite beer.

A: Poured a pale lemon-orange with a bright clarity and non-developing white sudsy head that dissipated as quickly as it was poured leaving behind a polished surface void of any lacing. Visible carbonation was strong and steady but sparsely spaced apart rising at a moderately rapid rate.
S: The nose was buttery malted with fresh lemons, white grapes and a honey dew fruitiness. Raspberries were also prominent. Not really sure what the contributing taste of acai berries are, did not want to be biased in my review but thus far this beer is definitely fruity with a berry juice quality.
T: The flavor begins very fruity and sweet upfront with cold apple juice, canned pear juice, honey dew and white grapes. There seems to be as well a mixture of blackberry and raspberry juice like taste as well. The malting is buttery sweet with a light-medium bitterness of fresh lemons. Hints of apricot prevail mid way through this fruity laced beer, while the beer finishes out with a buttery presence and soft lemony flowery bitterness. There is a soft twang of a lemony-orange combination that is detected after the swallow.
M: gassy, and seltzer like, exploding in the mouth like soda pop and pop rocks. The carbonation soon fizzles out leaving behind a texture that was slick and lightly oily.
D: Drinkability was sub-average drinking much like an overcarbonated fruity wine cooler. Limited enjoyability, repeatability while a bomber quickly becomes unexciting, so best to share this with a friend.

Part of a random six pack I put together at New Beer. Couldn't find enough questionable winter warmers that were new to me.
Organic(& possibly fresh as the full shelf would usually indicate, but not always; no BBD).
Rounded pint glass. No added coloring. Just a plain chill hazed yellow gold. Inch of lightweight white head. Active carbonation.
Smell is of unidentifiable berry & berry-flavored Nerds candy(dusty corn syrup). Perfumey.
Taste is a briefly sweet, barely tart, dry berry wheat beer. Berry/red grape tartness lingers around a bit gaining just a puff of bitterness in the finish.
Feel is glassy, moderately carbed & dry. Faint wheat texture. Alcohol is negligible.
I felt a bit "off" after drinking this. Never had anything acai to compare this too.

Review from 6/2011 notes. Poured into a Black Raven pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy light orange yellow amber. Thin dissipating head with no lacing. Pungent aroma of fruit, presumably acai with a hint of wheat. Pleasant light acai fruit flavor that fades quickly. Only a hint of wheat or hops. Dry, faintly flavored finish. It tastes like this could be quite nice with a bit more flavor. Not bad for a low ABV, fruit flavored drink, but not something I'd go to for an ale.

Pours a pale yellow with very little head. Infact the head was almost non existent
Smells like berries.
This beer tasted watered down. I tasted a hint of berry, but nothing else.
This beer did nothing to impress me. Nothing stuck out and grabbed my attention.

Pale yellow with a slight haze. It pours with no head. The nose is unpleasantly funky with an odd semi-tart berry component that I wouldn't necessarily identify as acai; it's just generic fruit. This smells oddly sweet for a 4% wheat beer. Pretty awful so far. The taste, surprisingly, isn't as horrifically bad as the aroma. Bad, yes, but it's more tolerable to my tongue than it is to my olfactory system. Sweet up front with a bunch of misused berry flavor, this is somewhere between a light ale and a wine cooler. Finishes slick, buttery and flat. Quite the atrocious beer here; I'll have to pick up a few more to age for a while.
