I have been to this location numerous times since it opened about a year ago. During that time I have become quite an IH fan. While their regular brew offerings will not knock your socks off they are solid. It's the specials and seasonal offerings that have impressed me.

Last night was night out for 3 BA couples and with Kegatron being a club member he wanted to take advantage of the members night with a special beer offering...Bourbon aged Belgian Triple....and a meet the brewer/brewery tour. So, with 6 people to wait on,a full house and with ordering a real dinner I thought this was as good a time as any to finally review this establishment.

As with all Iron Hills the inside is a very nice mix of modern simplicity and wood. Very clean, simple yet almost elegant.

In addition to the regular offerings they had a few seasonal brews bringing the total selection up to 10 or so.

With six of us ordering food, SierraGs and I both got the "Maine Lobster Bake" complete with a 1 1/4 lobster, 1/2 dozen assorted mussels and clams, corn on the cob and baby baked potatoes. Our food was very nicely done and I didnt hear the rest of our party complain one bit.

Our server, Erin, was a treat. She was pleasant, quick and lively. She even reached a point of being comfortable enough with me to give me some jovial, good natured ribbing including an elbow to the sternum shot! She made a nice evening even more pleasant.

All in all the place is a nice addition to the Lancaster city scene. While the beers and menu may be just a touch on the pricey side I feel you do get what you pay for and overall it is reasonable. Iron Hill does not "cheapen" things up therefore you are paying for the atmosphere, quality and the experience. If the prices were too high I am sure it would not be as packed as it always seems to be!

Located near Franklin & Marshall College with ample parking behind the building. The decor is dark wood and bronze. Extensive beer menu with wine and liquor available. Large food menu with a variety of appetizers and entrees. Service is usually attentive. Packaged beer to-go.

After speaking with the general manager Anthony he arranged for my wife and I to take a tour of the brewery. Justin and Kyle two of the brewers were exceptionally patient and answered every question we had. Not only did they take the time but they genuinely seemed to enjoy answering our questions. Thay also gave us samples of the beer in the fermenters. On the food and service side Ariel (hope that's right) not only gave us excellent service but had our main courses remade because we took so long in the brewery. She didnt want our food to be cold. Service, food, hospitality, and last but never least...beer. All was top notch. Love this place.

I've only been to Iron Hill in Lancaster once after stopping at Hunger N Thirst which is just a few blocks up the road. It's a typical Iron Hill in almost every way (decor, taps, menu, service) except that they also have some very nice outdoor seating. I enjoyed a sour ale (Funkaster) which was fantastic, and which is fairly unusual for them. All of their other beers are made well too, but just a bit more basic. I'd certainly recommend it as a stop, especially if you're planning to eat as well as drink.

Sat at the bar and got very friendly and helpful service. We decided to try share a flight and then each had a pint. I didn't love any of the beers until I tried the house Wit, which was very, very good. They also had some kind of run-of-the-mill red that was very tasty to have with food. The appear to have a standard menu of beers that are always on and a rotating list of the rest. Their website can let you know ahead of time what's on now and what's coming up.

The food menu was ridiculously extensive, if you can't eat here, you can't eat. Our bartender really knew the menu and steered us in the right direction. For the meal, we chose a selection of appetizers, to get a feel for the place. None of them were a disappointment. They weren't huge helpings, but they were well-prepared and tasty.

The only downside was when a table full of children were seated behind us, in the bar area. I saw two indoor dining areas and a lot of outdoor seating but no, the raucous children were seated in what should have been the 'adult' area of the restaurant. I'll never understand why restaurant managers choose to alienate clientele who want some adult time out. Can't the bar area be 18+?

Beer selection is limited to those beers brewed in-house. However, they are very good with a wide range of styles. Food is high quality, nice selection, but a bit pricey. Excellent service.

Pretty nice restaurant space. Received two beer menus upon arrival; one year-round, one seasonals. Altogether they had about 16 different beers on tap. I like that the flights can be made up of both year rounds and seasonals with no upcharge. Ended up getting 2 flights, 8 4oz samples for $12. Not too bad. Food was solid, but a bit high on the price. We ended up choosing this place instead of spring house due to the reviews and the fact iron hill is more kid-friendly. Ended up being a good choice.

This was a good find because it was both microbrew oriented and kid-friendly. The food was upscale chain quality, with some inventive choices. (We enjoyed Octoberfest egg rolls and fried Brussels Sprouts)

On the beer side of things, they have a nice in house brewed tap selection and some cask/ reserve bottle choices. I drank the American Pale Ale, the Dy-no-mite IPA (their name, not mine), and the nitro Russian Imperial Stout. (My wife tried the kith lager and the "honey do wit" wheat beer) The Russian Imperial Stout was the winner of the bunch for me but the IPA was good as well.

Overall, this was a good find in a vacation area.
