12 oz bottle
Pours clear amber with plenty of visible carbonation and a durable off-white head.

Aroma: more like a pilsner than expected, with earthy hops showing.

Flavor: certainly better than the aroma suggests. Moderate complexity. Mild bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Bready malts with faint fruity and spicy notes.

O: well seeking out.

Feel: excellent creamy but lively feel with medium+ body.

Appearance - reddish golden color with white head

Smell - ? not picking up much at all with the nose, what I can detect is a hint of citrus

Taste - caramel, cherry, citrus

Mouthfeel - medium body, medium carbonation, crisp, refreshing

Overall - my first time with this style, not a huge departure from a traditional amber ale. I'm glad to have tried this.

Pours a golden copper with a finger of head. The nose is yeasty and there is also some sweet note as well - syrup or perhaps molasses. The malt is quite forward considering the body is fairly light. There is the classic Belgian funky tartness but it is relatively mild. The finish is semi-dry.

Pours a hazy orange with a beautiful sunshine yellow hue. Scant head of loose white foam that fell fast. Nose is forward with malt and it's a sweet cracker. Some earthy spice and a beautiful herbal that is sweet like the first grass. Floral but subtle. Orange citrus is in the background like it's just waiting to come out and show itself.

Tasste is lovely. It's a bit of dry biscuit and it's soft and delectable. It has a bit of sweetness to it and a lush earthy spice. Good carbonation keeps this dancing across the palate. The spice and the malty character are the foundation for a very delicate citrus. The orange is subtle and demure. It permeates the drink but never comes on too strong. It leaves you wanting more. There is a sweet grassy herbal that it tantalizing alongside the orange.

This beer is lovely.Malt forward in a way that is playful and with a fruit character that is as lovely as the thought of the fruit itself. I like this style very much and it's my first time with it. I would call it subtle and a bit savory with an elegant taste of fruit.

poured from a 12oz bottle into a tulip glass. No dating that I could find.

Nice pour, yellow with hints of red. 1/2 inch foamy head which sank to 1/4-1/8 inch fairly quickly. Interesting spidery lacing

very little aroma, some yeast, and a little fruit

enjoying the taste though, much stronger than anticipated. even a little alcohol burst toward the end. light to medium on the mouth. fairly dry finish.

Admit to not being that fond of Southampton beers, but this one is quite pleasant. certaily wouldn't pass it up again.
