A - orange murky amber color with no head and no carbonation.
S - mildly sweet milky and like a whisky I can't name. Hints of abv burn and candied figs or carmeled apples. It's very faint.
T - not bad. Flavors are weak but they got the idea right. No off flavors or blanket hops. It is not as good as real Belgian triples but it is a good imitation
M - abv has a bit of sting but still fine for this style.
D - for $4 it's cheaper than a flight to brussles you couldn't tell it's a knockoff... But only if you drank several.

Thanks to wishuwerebeer for sharing this '07 bomber. Poured into a snifter, the brew appears a clear golden with faint spotty yeast particulate stuck in suspension. White froth is quick to recede from the initial finger formation. A swirl releases a few bubbles that hardly form a lacing across the top yet it does produce some spotty lace on the glass.
The smell is reminiscent of pear skins and apple with a light spicy hints of clove. A little more reminiscent of cider in the aroma than the expected tripel. Mild pepper comes out once warm with a bit of cheese. Overall this is very apple forward in the nose.
Tastes mildly spicy from the Belgian yeast contribution. Apple cider is hinted throughout with both suggestions of skin and fleshy apples. Cloves and pepper providing a supporting role to break up the ale flavoring and bring the focus back into the expected tripel character. Pale biscuit malt gives a bready aftertaste which is enjoyable.
This is a medium bodied brew with a modest level of carbonation. Nice drinkability with little to no abv impact despite it being 8% and allowed to gradually warm up. Overall this is very mild tripel with solid focus on apple flavoring that was an interesting experience. Not my favorite in the style but enjoyable nonetheless.

pours a deep brown-yellow, like most tripels should.
Smell is nothing impressive, but my sense of smells sucks and I'm not sniffing my beers, I am drinking them.
Pleasant taste and mouthfeel. I try a LOT of tripels, this is nothing extraordinairy, but nothing to be overlooked either. Ranks high on my list of tripels.
If you are a fan of belgian ales and/or tripels, add this to your list to try. It won't be the best, but it will be very good.

On tap at Zeno’s Pub - State College, PA - Oct 14, 2007. Light hibiscus and orange spritz aroma, laid down in a bed of wet grain. Pours a strikingly clear pale gold, topped with a minimal white head. Flavor is a dense, sugar imbued sweep. There’s some hexaneous lemon, lots of bright, glowing yeast phenolics, over gentle pear, sweet apple and melon. A nip of warmth and glow of the yeast products, in a minerally husk. Backend gushes out with a chewy, hop gum and spritz of lemon zest. Nicely dry and comparatively clean finish. Missing some depth and carbonation. Could use more forceful, bright percolation. Overall, decent, but not excelling.

received in a beer trade....hard to tell if this beer was aged or not, cannot find a label indicating its age....
poured into a snifter glass...beer has nice pillowy white head of uneven bubbles....beer is slightly cloudy & murky....nice aroma of straw and hay and yeast....
taste is sublime....earthy tangy and spicey without being overbearing....
mouthfeel is excellent...fine carbonation it really pops out at you iand has a lot of zing on the tongue i like this feel a lot
overall i think this is a great beer i would definitely try it again

hazy yellow colored amber with a very big white frothy head of foamy lace across the top. Very nice retention left behind copious amounts of side glass lace and a very nice little film
across the top.
A nice light wheat aroma could be detected as well and this blended in nicely with the yeast. It was a light aroma overall though not really making any kind of striking impression on me. light hints of peaches or pears, but nothing that was too terribly strong to be honest. No hint of the alcohol in here what so ever and it really had quite a light profile. Some light grassy flavors in and around the finish with a decent little bit of drying at the end.

Light fizzy head fades quickly to almost nothing, over light golden yellow wheat little hazy color.
Nose light golden Belgian malts, plenty of Belgian yeast fruit, apple, pear, apricot, light yeast aroma, light booze and sweet candi sugar.
Taste lighter overall, some Belgian malts, light wheat like taste, a light sweet syrup that's not really candi sugar, with a bit of booze warmth, light spices, plenty of fruits apple, pear, apricot again, light golden raisin, finishes still semi sweet, lingering sweet candy flavors, light malts, lots of fruit, and a slight boozy taste.
Mouth of med bodied although it feels light for the style, and lower carbonation.
Overall an ok attempt at it, sweet, could have used a bit more body, carbonation and a drier finish bit more malts too, but fairly drinkable and decent tasting.

Appearance (in tulip out of a 750mL) is cloudy amber with fine white head.
Nose is mellow orange and yeast. Pleasant, suggesting a full-bodied taste.
Taste has a striking note of sweet alcohol which is balanced by carbonation and some faint hop bitterness. Faint traces of apple linger, but the taste doesn't quite live up to the nose.
Mouthfeel is pleasant, but faintly prickly-- nothing exceptional.
Overall nice, but not outstanding for the style.
