Must be my night for un-impressive beers.
The beer is very clear and the carbonation, lacing, and color seem to be normal. The aroma and taste mirror each other in that they both come across as one dimensional and off balanced. There is a malt presence but there is very little hops to accentuate this. There is a boatload of diacetyl and an astringent finish. It is impossible to tell the freshness but based on the fact that there is little oxidation I would guess that it's probably somewhat recent, the flaws seem to be characteristic of the beer.

Stopped by the publick house for a bite and to pick up some IRS bottles. Ordered a flight with bratwurst. Brew arrivedin a few ounce sample pour. Copper color. Fairly malt forward with a soft hop. German crystalized malts. Nice easy drinker nothing mind blowing. Good altbier.
