The beer arrived on the bar clear light brown with an off-white low lasting head which laced the glass.
The aroma was darn near MIA. I sniffed, and sniffed and sniffed, finally I picked up on a very light caramel and a light nuttiness.
The flavor was a nice level of bittering and a light nutty character, but the beer did not have a strong malt presence, mainly a low caramel, and perhaps a bit of roast.
The finish was dry, as was the entire flavor, with just a low level bittering lasting into the aftertaste. The body was meidum and nicely done. I expected a more complex and interesting beer.
Large draft at Capital Ale House Innsbrook.

Stopped by the publick house for a bite and to pick up some IRS bottles. Ordered a flight with bratwurst. Brew arrivedin a few ounce sample pour. Copper color. Fairly malt forward with a soft hop. German crystalized malts. Nice easy drinker nothing mind blowing. Good altbier.
