12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. . . .
Coppery-brown with an ivory head. No real lacing remained, but a small amount of bubbles continued to rise as I drank my way down the glass.
As for the nose: a very faint smell of malt, with just a touch of caramel. No real hops were discernable.
Taste: nicely balanced between sweet malts at first, followed by a clean, dry hoppy finish, with the hops lingering on the tongue. This was not an extreme beer by any stretch, with big, bold hops or over-the-top malty sweetness. But it fits nicely with the altbier style -- fairly light and nicely balanced between the sweet malts and the florally bitterness of the hops.
Mouthfeel: this was well-carbonated (perhaps a bit too much so), but the dry finish of the hops made for a fairly balanced feel on the mouth.
I found this beer extremely drinkable. I could easily put back quite a few of these.
