This is a 12 oz bottle of Secret ale served in a nondescript tumbler.
Appearance: The ale is a dark amber color, difficult to see through, with a bit of head that lingers.
Smell: A caramel biscuity aroma is the dominant trait in the nose, giving the ale a strong foundation on the malts.
Taste: The nose was not a let down. The beer has a strong malt character that allows for a biscuit and caramel flavors to emerge.
Mouthfeel: The ale sits well on the palate, but the malts can be a little tough to take when they are this concentrated.
Drinkability: I could have gone back for another bottle, good but not great.

Stopped by the publick house for a bite and to pick up some IRS bottles. Ordered a flight with bratwurst. Brew arrivedin a few ounce sample pour. Copper color. Fairly malt forward with a soft hop. German crystalized malts. Nice easy drinker nothing mind blowing. Good altbier.
