Pours a super clear amber/brown with a thin, creamy off-white head. Smells of toasted grain. Taste is very biscuity, caramel, bread, with a sweet flavor throughout. There is a hint of butter in the finish, which is actually quite nice. Is this from a bit of diacytal? Nice raw earthy hops, impart a very smooth bitterness that matches up well with the malt. Mouthfeel is nice and smooth, low carbonation. Super drinkable, just one of these isn't enough!
I will definitely buy this again, great beer in a very underrepresented style. It reminds me somewhat of an English bitter, and like the bitter, it needs more true to style American interpretations, IMO!

Stopped by the publick house for a bite and to pick up some IRS bottles. Ordered a flight with bratwurst. Brew arrivedin a few ounce sample pour. Copper color. Fairly malt forward with a soft hop. German crystalized malts. Nice easy drinker nothing mind blowing. Good altbier.
