glad to finally be getting more southie stuff here in jersey other than the "secret lager"...
full finger of frothy white head, light copper tone, very clean and clear looking, some bubbles rising from the depths. the head dissapates at a swift pace but clings to the glass sides like me and spanish women. nice looking glass o beer.
hops dipped in liquid caramel, slight butterscotch, nothing overpowering but good.
nice burst of carbonation on the tongue, a bitter twinge covered by the malt, the mouth feel is definitely amplified by the way the carbonation is set up in this one, very good, the balance on this one of all the key elements and flavors is spot on. not too hoppy, not too malty, not too heavy... damn balanced.
not one to bowl you over but so damn solid in all categories except maybe the nose.. good stuff for your gut, period !
