Appearence: Pours an attractive orangish amber with a solid, massive white head that lasts the whole beer. Perfectly clear with nice carbonation.
Smell: Smells excellently hopped with floral and pine notes throughout. A nice malt background balances everything out neatly.
Taste and Mouthfeel: The aggressiveness of the hops in the nose is completely gone. It's a suprisingly malty beer with quiet, almost subtle hop notes until the finish, which is decently bitter. It's a little too balanced, and is bordering along the lanes of a standard pale ale. The mouthfeel is a little thin.
Drinkability and Overall: This is a pretty decent beer, and tastes nice, but it just doesn't seem as agressively hoppy as most American IPAs. Too balanced. But, styles aside, this is a good tasting, easy drinking brew I definitly wouldn't mind having more of.
