On tap at Laurelwood in PDX, part of a taster tray.

No head, pale yellow body.

Minteral-water smell... not quite chlorine.

Crisp light taste, corny, slightly sweet. Not bad, but kinda American adjunct.

Kinda fizzy, not bad.

A Bud Light alternative? (253 characters)

First had: on tap at Laurelwood Public House, Portland, OR

Poured a clear, straw yellow with a ring of white bubbles for a head. Smell of lightly toasted grains and light fruits. Taste of pale malts, grains, lemon and apple, with a bitter aftertaste. Light-bodied, easily drinkable, and not bad overall, for the style. Good selection for the non-adventurous. (359 characters)

Pours a three finger off-white head that fades slowly leaving some lace. Clear amber color. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Slight piney hop nose. Flavor is typical golden with hops up front, some sweetness. Dry finish with lingering bitter aftertaste. $1.55 for a 12oz bottle from Liquid Solutions Oregon City, Or. (321 characters)

At the Portland airport.

A - Served a pale light and cloudy orange with a nice foamy cream colored head. Fades fast but leaves some light lacing on the glass.

S - Wheat, sweet and some light lemon.

T - Very similar to the smell. Very light all around.

D - Good carbonation and a light body.

O - Light and crisp, but not much on the taste side. (353 characters)

Do yourself a favor, give in to the Mother Lode- she won't let you down.

When I tasted this beer at the Laurelwood restaurant and pub, I immediately jotted down the following on a scrap of paper:

"Delicious! Quenching... Well balanced with a strong Barley flavor-- you can really taste the grain on this one. Awesome hop round out- a well balanced pint."

I think that note says it all... Wish I had a pint of it right now. (426 characters)

A: Poured a straw color. Slight lacing down the glass. Not much head really.
S: Smell like grains. Also has nice fresh cut grass smell and slight hop scent.
T: Light but very flavorfull. Tastes like barley with hints of honey as an aftertaste.
M: Smooth, light on the carbonation
D: Normally this style of beer really doesn't do it for me but this is an excellent smooth drinking beer. Would try it again for sure. (418 characters)

AP: Perfectly clear golden pour with a scant head cap.

AR: Brisk golden honeyish, pilsneresque clean leafy grain.

First swigs: Pilsneresque clean sweet sugary green apple with no aftertaste. Just a clean grain finish.

MF: Basic tight carbonation and medium feel.

Last swigs: A total drinker with a clean style. (323 characters)
