Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.
Look - very dark golden color, almost a light brown. Having a medium-bodied look, it's midway between semi-clear and murky. A small layer of cream-colored foam that dissipates quickly.
Smell - the aroma is as hoppy as one would assume it to be, given the description on the bottle. It's given a heavy does of hops throughout the process. The aroma seems to belie a mix of Cascade hops and something else. These were probably used in the dry-hoping part of the process. Then there's also another element that I cannot identify that helps to balance out the hops, something sweeter perhaps.
Taste - Very interesting quality to the taste. The hops tasted are different than the ones smelled. The middle of the taste brings in that same element in the aroma that imparts a certain sweetness. It's probably this element and in combination with the malts that help to balance this brew out. Making it quite drinkable, despite the high IBUs.
Mouthfeel - medium-bodied, slightly creamy in quality.
Overall - a very interesting brew, definitely worth tasting and worth having in the fridge.
