Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle.

The beer pours a very dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma is heavy on the chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. I don't get too much smoke or any dark fruit in the aroma.

The flavor is very similar to the aroma. I get a ton of coffee and chocolate in the flavor as well as some roasted malt. There is also a nice smoke component to the flavor.

Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Pitch black into my Chimay glass with a lighter head dissipating quickly. Bitter roasty smokey chocolate nose/some tobacco with fruit and maybe some vanilla.

Tastes more intense than the nose, more of the roast malt and a long dry finish with the float of 8.9% throughout but not too aggressive. A little more medium bodied than I like in an imperial stout. Definitely a dry cocoa flavor at the end.

A nice beer recommended by my local packie - I've been able to have several Danish stouts and they've got something pretty interesting going on. A nice brew worth snaging if you can find it.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a medium size light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet black chocolate with some light vinous notes. Taste is also dominated by sweet black chocolate with some light coffee and some lactose in the finish. Body is quite full with some creamy notes and good carbonation without much alcohol being perceptible. Well done from a fine brewery that I am glad to be discovering.

Served in a Paulaner krug.

The last beer of our housewarming get-together. It pours a straight onyx topped by a finger or so of lightly dusty tan foam. The nose comprises roasted malts, light coffee, chocolate powder, and a small bit of charred balsa. The taste brings in more of the same, with the roast dominating the proceedings. It's a pretty simple combination, but an effective and well-executed one. The body is a hefty medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a lightly chewy feel. Overall, a solid impy stout, one that goes a very straightforward way and succeeds pretty well. Right on.

Puored this beer into my Mad Elf chalice and it was a thick dark inky stout with a nice creamy 1 finger head. the aroma is a nice combo of roasted malts, toffee and cocoa. The taste is a sweet malty dark roasted stout some hints of coffee (perhaps). the mouthfeel is a chewy and thick just the way a stout should be. The abv comes though nicely in this beer just to give you a little warmth. Really nice stout I enjoyed this beer.
Cheers

500 mL bottle poured into a CBS snifter. No bottle date.

Appearance - Black with an ample mocha head. Thick collar around the beer. Nice islands of bubbles.

Smell - Chocolatey with a bitter malt presence. Comes off as coffee and black patent malt.

Taste - Lots of chocolate in the taste. Chewy fudgy chocolate. Turns bitter with almost a smokey finish. Slightly sweet with a touch of alcohol.

Mouthfeel - Very chewy at first, but the carbonation cuts it quickly. The finish thins out and alcohol comes through. Nothing intense, but enough to notice.

Overall - Quality stout. Very good without being standout in any category, though.

First had: on tap at Teresa's, Wayne, PA

Served in a tulip glass, a sinister brown-black with a half inch of frothy mocha head that retained well; moderate lacing. Aroma was roast-heavy, dark malts and dark chocolate. Taste was likewise quite roasty, but smooth and velvety, and very low in bitterness, sweet notes of dark chocolate. Nice full body, smooth, with the lack of loads and loads of bitterness making a very easy drinker, and additionally, very little heat detectable for a beer with a higher ABV. Very nice overall, and I'm sure God loves it.

A - A nice deep black with a huge tan head. Head was a little too big and the bubbles not fine enough, but it was still a great looking beer.

S - Nice wood, a little bit of roasted malts, big brownie chocolate smell. This smells very appealing, with a slight undertone of some sort of sweet berries, very subtle.

T - Some dark fruit, more on the berry side though then the figs/raisins that typically are associated with that for me. Confectioners sugar seems mixed with chocolate, nice burnt malts and something buttery on the end. This has a somewhat milky taste to it.

M - Creamy, heavier side of medium bodied. Finished just the slightest bit thin and just a little too much carbonation.

D - Good stuff, feels a little bigger than it's 8.9%, which is not a bad thing. This is a good tasting stout that I could gladly drink again.

Vintage unknown. 500 ml bottle into a DFH signature glass. The "atheist" tie in comes off as a bit gimmicky. Beer is the last place I want to have religion or politics present.

A - Pours a dark black viscous body. Dense mocha head with large bubbles and gobs of sticky lacing. Excellent looking stout.

S - Roasted malts, licorice candy, coffee, and vanilla. A bit of smoke and an interesting hop fruit sweetness.

T - Bitter coffee and milk chocolate initially. Finish is light smoked malts and cigarette ash, the fruit here is dark rather than sweet. Simple, robust, inviting.

M - Silky and smooth. Great carbonation and mouth feel.

O - A very simple yet tasty stout. The mouth feel is near perfect and the faint cigarette ash in the aftertaste is surprisingly pleasant.
