Poured from a .5L bottle.
A - Poured dark red-brown, short head that dissipated quickly
S - Malty, sugary notes
T - Dark roasted grains, earthy woody notes, a bit of brown sugar, and a sharp hoppy finish
M - Medium carbonation, light body; not too watery, but on the lighter side
O - The beech flavour wasn't largely evident, but there was the earthy notes, which were a nice background element. Taking this as a brown ale, with a hint of some wood notes, this was pretty nice. Just don't expect too much complexity here.

Appearance: Brown-reddish body, brown thick head, with slow dissipation; looks rich and frothy.
Smell: Smell of malts, alcohol, musty…
Taste: Semi-sweet with an undercurrent of roughness / dryness, like that of a pale ale. Some traces of bitterness on and off.
Mouthfeel: Full body, medium carbonation, mellow, syrupy.
Overall/Drinkability: an OK beer; a bit more sweet than I’d prefer but can be nicely paired with a rich-sauce food.

A: Color is clear copper while the lovely compact and thick head is than. Slow dissipation leaves decent lacings.
S: Dark malts, with lots of dark dried fruits, very sweet. Almost nothing else.
T: Still very sweet and rich in malts. Dark dried fruits. Perhaps a hint of mint!? Chocolate and bread. Almost no trace of American hops.
M: Rather bitter aftertaste after a really long time, at first the aftertaste is very sweet. Body is on the milder side for this style. Carbonation is very mild - the beer feels rather flat.
O: Not a bad beer, but not very American.
