A-Cloudy golden yellow pour with a good bit of white frothy head with good retention and wonderful lacing.
S-Good deal of hops in the nose. Citrus aroma overwhelms the smell with hints of pine and bready malt.
T- Quite the opposite of the smell. Very malty up front with a faint citrus hop finish.
M- Great texture. Smooth...but not too light, moderate carbonation.
O- This is a solid beer. Very drinkable, I could definitely put back a couple of these. That being said, I prefer a more hop forward IPA with more IBUs.

This is exactly what I want in an IPA. I'm not an overly big IPA guy and this might be sacrilege to my IPA-loving friends who always obsess over the hop character of every beer, but this one pretty much tops the list for me. It is full of flavor without going overboard. It is balanced between hops of a vaguely pine or pineapple sort, malts which taste like good bread, and an altogether pleasant medium between the two. It's an IPA which doesn't just taste like an IPA. It tastes like a beer too, and a very good one at that. It was my first introduction to BrewDog's brand of no-nonsense, punk-styled offerings and it will not be my last. So far I have found this to be good in bottles purchased here in the states as well as on tap at their Edinburgh location which I was fortunate to visit last week while vacationing there. This beer goes well with cheese and will forever occupy a place in my palate as the perfect example of hops that aren't over the top.
