Single bottle (best by 12/18/10) poured into a tumbler.
Appearance: Hazy straw yellow with plenty of carbonation bubbling up from the bottom. Poured a 1/2" thick white foam that died down to a persistent 1/4" head. Crazy lacing all over the glass - kinda messy there's so much of it, but I'm enjoying looking at it.
Smell: Hint of yeast, citrus (lemony) and earthy hops.
Taste: Strong bitterness up front - hoppy. Some grapefruit towards the end of the bitterness. Chalky finish and aftertaste in the mouth. It's too unbalanced towards the bitterness....and yet I like it.
Mouthfeel: Just right carbonation on the tongue, goes down real easy and coats the whole throat and doesn't linger. Not too thick, not too watery.
Drinkability: While I'm glad I tried it, towards the end the bitterness gets to be too much. So I finished it, but I cannot reach for another one. I'd have to pair this with the right meal to have it again - too strong in bitterness for me to have as a stand alone.

This is almost a session IPA, not boozy not overwhelming hops. A well designed beer. I say almost because its right on the cusp with an abv in the 5-6% range. Its very drinkable. The price was good for a bomber. I would prefer to get this in a six pack, but I have only seen the big boys around here. I love hoppy beers and this one has a good amount of hop presence there, however, its also not a Stone IPA either.
Color: Mild bronze, a decent amount of head that remained throughout.
Smell: Balance of malt and hops, not an intense hop aroma, but a good amount of floral hops.
Taste: Balanced. this could be my go to standard IPA if it were more readily available around here and in six packs. I am not saying they don't put this in six packs, but they are not found around here.
Overall: A pleasant experience, you could drink a few 12 oz beers or a couple of bombers and not be bombed. It has a nice IPA flavor, it is what a regular IPA should taste like.
