Poured into a pint glass out of a 22oz bomber.
Pours a hazy medium gold with a very thin, fizzy white head that settles to just a thin ring around the edge of the glass. Not impressive.
Aroma has some overripe fruit character made up of oranges and tangerines. Maybe a touch of grapefruit thrown in there as well. A light touch of toasted malt.
Flavor is lacking in intensity unfortunately. Orange and tangerine dominate with some juiciness but it is a little too subdued. Bitterness is only moderate as well. Malt is in the background and props up the body but barely; just a bit of toast. The mouthfeel is probably the worst thing about this beer. Just watery all the way around.
Overall, I was expecting a bit more out of this beer. It just doesn't really stand up to some of the great IPA's being produced today. This might have been a standout beer in the U.K. years ago but I feel that probably isn't the case any longer.

This is almost a session IPA, not boozy not overwhelming hops. A well designed beer. I say almost because its right on the cusp with an abv in the 5-6% range. Its very drinkable. The price was good for a bomber. I would prefer to get this in a six pack, but I have only seen the big boys around here. I love hoppy beers and this one has a good amount of hop presence there, however, its also not a Stone IPA either.
Color: Mild bronze, a decent amount of head that remained throughout.
Smell: Balance of malt and hops, not an intense hop aroma, but a good amount of floral hops.
Taste: Balanced. this could be my go to standard IPA if it were more readily available around here and in six packs. I am not saying they don't put this in six packs, but they are not found around here.
Overall: A pleasant experience, you could drink a few 12 oz beers or a couple of bombers and not be bombed. It has a nice IPA flavor, it is what a regular IPA should taste like.
