Appearance: Pours viscous out of the bottle with a little bit of head. Pitch black, no light goes through this one.
Smell: Chocolate, cinnamon, black tea, maple syrup, burnt oak, tobacco and considering the alcoholic strength a very slight smell of it. Wow!
Taste: Chocolate, cranberries, raisins. There is no lack of either complexity nor purity. Wow again!
Mouthfeel: Thick, candylike. A little too warming, alcoholic and dessert wine/Porter like for me, but guess you can't have everything.
One of the best beers(???) I have tasted in a long time. And this at 18.2%, I am impressed. Having an endless supply of these would be a non stop recipe for becoming an alcoholic. Good thing it is so expensive actually. Best shared with a friend, split a bottle into two wine glasses.
