this is one strange bottle of brew right here. some very strange ingredients come together quite well. the pour is a medium copper color, clear, with a few fingers of sudsy khaki head that slowly fades out. I smell the honey, and the rest of the additives sort of produce a green tea smell, which gives some bitter bite to the sweeter red malt bill. the flavor is malt forward, with the sweetness of honey and a floral yeast component. I could tell this is a brewdog beer without ever looking at the label, its got that distinct yeast complexion that is in all of their beers. alcohol is well hidden, but comes out as the beer warms up. this has an aftertaste of some of the herbal infusions my girlfriend makes, slightly bitter, strong, concentrated. I don't get much hops in here, but there is enough going on without them. the body is fuller than medium, but the drinkability is aided by spirited carbonation and the clean finish. without the honey, this beer might be really weird, but the honey meshes well with everything, and brings it all back into harmony. overall a clever beer from brewdog, but not something I need to drink again. props for the ingenuity though!

Pours a clear amber with a medium tan head. Smells of honey and fresh flowers. Taste is a malt bomb, some honey and An hint of wood. Mouth feel is rich and smooth. The beer really coats your mouth. Overall a pretty good beer, but too expensive for what you get.

Poured out dark orange. Head was a little weak with the poor. There was no expiration date or batch date on the bottle. Don't know if that lead to my sub par experience with this beer. 7.8% ABV and when served cold the beer hides the alcohol pretty well. The aromatics where nice. Definitely smelled the honey and also got a strong citrus smell. You could taste the kola nut as well and I really don't think the ingredients worked well together. Is was a highly complex taste that really overpowers your palette. The warnings are posted all over the bottle. It is called a "flavored ale" and I will quote the back of the bottle, "This ale is not cool. You may think it is, but that is just a beautiful lie fabricated by clowns and gypsies." I should've read their disclosure on the back label. It is a literal discription of what you imagine clowns and gypsies drinking; it would be this "flavored ale" and it tastes like a highly glorified malt liquor. I was expecting at least a bigger presents of a hop flavor, yet it was non-exsistent.
WARNING!!!! It is a highly adventurous beer made by highly adventurous and innovative brewers. People are going to like it and then there will be people like me who can't finish the glass. I have huge respect for Brew Dogs and what they have done for the craft beer community, but this beer just didn't connect with me.

It is 5 months out of date, but,i think that 95% of flavors are still there.
Batch no.209. Got it in beer shop in Budapest,HU.

A - Cola black,dark foam,one-two finger,no carbonation.

S - Candy sugars,cocoa,coffee,cola,strong honey.

T/M - Sweet but bitter finish. Lots of sugar. Warm alcohol. Spices and other aromas.

O - Drink it with some good food. Some meat dishes or dark chocolate cake. Some cheese maybe. Personally,i don't like it too much. It is aromatic and interesting, but it doesn't feet me well..

Not sure if I have the right Dogma. My bottle describes it like this (same ingredients) and it's 7.8% but it sure ain't clear orange as other reviewers describe it. It's a deep dark ruby.
appearance: Dark ruby, nearly opaque. Fairly thick light tan head.
smell: The honey is prominent as is smoky undertone. Cola is also right there. Quite a nose.
taste: Lives up to the nose. All the flavors are there.
overall: This is a very nice creation. Again, not sure if Brewdog has come up with a new recipe or what. This is quite dark and unless I'm that far off from others (which could be) reviews on this are mediocre at best. This is quite nice to me.

Not sure what to expect from a beer that advertised guarana as an ingredient. I had plenty of underage experiences with Sparks, but that isn't quite the same. Boyfriend tasted first and said I wouldn't like it. My first mouthful was a little strange, but subsequent ones are super tasty.

It looks denser than it feels. Lacing quickly dissipates, though a solid carpet of foam on the surface lingers. Very bitter and alcoholic smell. Lots of coffee flavor though not much in the aroma.

It feels oily in a nice way and very light. More carbonation than I tend to prefer in beers, but it really works to carry the flavors across in a way that doesn't let the flavors become cloying.

Brew Dog consistently goes for surprises and excitement in their beers and this incarnation of Dogma is no different. I'm glad they do what they do. This could have gone very badly but it is surprisingly enjoyable,

Pours nearly solid dark brown with a tan finger and a half head that has decent retention.

Smell has a lot of different things going on. Licorice and cola are on the front end followed by some rich chocolate malt. Slightly floral note and a little bit of alcohol are also present

Taste is interesting there is a slightly sweet chocolate and cola combination that is defiantly different. There is also a slight caramel malt sweetness near that back end before a very light herbal hops bitterness in the finish.

Mouthfeel has a medium body with a slightly sticky sweet feel and medium carbonation.

pours a dark brown, almost black in color with 2 fingers of tan head.. excellent retention. a very sweet smelling beer overall.. hints of brown sugar, licorice, molasses, roasted grains, coffee. the flavor is pretty well balanced.. tastes like a mix between an old ale, stout, and porter.. a bit roasty, nutty, a sweet malty backbone with a bit of a membrillo sweetness (spanish fruit paste spread). it's a very easy to drink beer with a medium body and low carbonation.. leaves a sweet taste in your mouth begging for more to quench your thirst.

this is a pretty nice one from brewdog, and a big bottle at an affordable price. glad to see our area getting some of this stuff fresh.
