Buckle up for this seasonal Simcoe sled ride. A fruity festive fellow that delivers an all out Blitzen of Citrus flavour by the sack load. Citrus and tropical fruits on the Red nose. Tangy citrus, papaya and pineapple Dancer across the palate. All resting on a firm malty under carriage. A happy but bitter end waits.
Hoppy Christmas - don't keep the receipt.

Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is straw, slight haze, head is off white and presents 1/4 inch thick, head dissipates to thin top and spotty lacing.
Smell is hop forward with solid malt backing: citrus, light pine, earth, hint of tropical fruit, malt is bread and light toast.
Taste is similar with a balanced flavor of hops and malt: citrus, pine, earth, herbal, malt flavor is light bread/toast.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, moderate bitterness.
Overall a moderately hoped, lightly malty IPA with a citric lean and bread maltiness.

Can for day one from the Advent calendar.
Light bit of haze in a dark gold liquid that has a bubbly white head that persists. Old school bready faint caramel malt with pine and citrus to counter. Seemed a hint on the sweet side imho.

A 12 oz canned brewed in Ohio. (The beer, not the can.)
I mention this since there are several Hoppy Christmas options listed here.
I don't know what they were going for, but this isn't hoppy, isn't Christmasy, and I regret the $1.99 spent.

It's nowhere near the Christmas season, but I'm just getting around to trying this brew. From a twelve ounce can, this one pours a hazy gold color. Spicy hop aroma and a bit of tropical fruit underneath. The taste is similar....plenty of spicy hop flavor and medium bitterness. The taste is balanced, with just a bit of fruity sweetness. Full body. This is a nice brew, even off-season.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Egersund. ABV is 6%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma of citric and spicy hops. The flavour has also notes of citric and spicy hops, hints of tropical fruits, resinous bitter finish.

12 oz can (enjoy by: 1/31/23) poured into a 14 oz Rastal Teku glass. Pours faintly hazy golden yellow with tall park of bubbly white head. Fresh aromas of pine, citrus and tropical fruit. Crisp hoppy flavor with more citrus, tropical fruit, and a light malt base. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Lighter bodied, crisply bitter and nicely hopped IPA.

12oz can as part of the mixed Christmas 12 pack. 6.0% ABV. Brewed with Pale, Extra Dark Crystal, Caramalt. Hopped with only Simcoe.
Pours out to a medium burnt orange, forming a solid off white head with very good retention and lacing. Predominant peach in the nose, followed by mango and pineapple. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and chewy. Very subtle but interesting malt flavors going on here which support the fruit nose nicely. Bitterness is medium-light, easy to drink. Cleanly fermented, no off flavors or aromas. Carbonation is medium, ~2.5 carbs. Finishes quite clean (for the style) with a well balanced bitterness.
I dig this. Well brewed. Would recommend and would buy again.

Standard American IPA no Christmas flavors (not a bad thing imo). This beer is solid.

Slightly hazy rose gold color with a substantial and lasting off white head and some nice lacing. The aroma is pineapple, papaya and hints of caramel malt and pine.
The taste is pine and citrus up front followed by tropical fruit - pineapple, mango, coconut, papaya. The finish is dry and back to some pine resin and grapefruit.
The body is medium, moderate carbonation, smooth, very drinkable.
Altogether, this is a tasty and enjoyable IPA with elements from New England and West Coast, nice level of bitterness, very nice.
