Strawberry blonde with a fine mist of sediment and clingy loose white froth
Some mango with lots of pissy citrus on top - very NS/Citra.
Batch loaf crust with honeydew, gooseberry, and grapefruit pith hops.
Angostura in orange juice finish and loong bitter lemon rind finish.
Round, some cling, just under medium.
Big IBU hit that I'd swear was from S Hemisphere hops but in the prototype stage was just Columbus and Centennial.
IPA ABV and malt levels for DIPA hopping.
Can hang with any scorching American hop monster, for better or worse.

I once tried this when I was already a bit drunk and it was just too much. I vowed to try it again sober, and upon visiting the BrewDog bar in Shoreditch it was the first beer I ordered. Definitely a good choice, as it's best enjoyed with a fresh palette.
BrewDog like their bitter hops, and with Jack Hammer they've upped the ante. The colour is a dark yellow, darker than one my expect from an IPA. It smells very hoppy with hints of mango and pineapple, just begging to be drunk. However, upon tasting it the fruity notes are completely overwhelmed by an intense bitterness. Even by strong IPA standards, this is very bitter! I enjoyed it, but the bitterness gets a bit much and can prevent the drinker from enjoying any of the subtler flavours underneath. Still a good beer, don't get me wrong, but you wouldn't want too much of it in one sitting. In my opinion there are better IPAs, both from BrewDog and from elsewhere, but if you're a fan of intensely bitter IPA it's definitely one to try.

Had on tap, so quick notes:
Smell: green hops, weed, citrus and other fruit (watermelon?) peel;
Taste is a hop bomb, with huge grapefruit, pineapple and passion fruit, peach; flowers; low pale malts; big green herbal notes, mineral, pine; very bitter
Tasty hops, loved it
