Poured a golden color with a 1 finger head into an Orval Trappist glass.

A very strong lemon-citrus aroma.

The mouth feel is quite tart and fits the character of the beer's aroma, taste and finish.

The taste is citrus- although not as strong as the aroma, and not lemony.

The finish is quite good- tangy and mildly bitter.

Overall: a well-done Belgian Pale ale- very drinkable.

Just saw this was on tap and went for it. I just know De La Senne is supposed to make good beer.

Pours a pretty clear golden body with a thick white head.

Smell is mostly just floral, grassy, and a tad soapy. Basically a bunch of hops. Good to have a hoppy beer that doesn't come across as American.

Light bitterness, medium bodied, and lots of carbonation.

Really good and super drinkable.

330ml bottle, 5.8% ABV. 'Zinnebir' appears to loosely translate to 'mongrel beer', in reference to the mixed cultural heritage of many Belgians, and Brussels natives in particular.

This beer pours a rather hazy, yet bright medium golden yellow hue, with a full fist's worth of puffy, loosely foamy, and somewhat bubbly eggshell white head, which leaves some spotty patches of sudsy lace around the glass as it evenly subsides.

It smells of earthy, mildly spicy yeast, crisp, crackery pale and wheat malts, a bit of crusty white breadiness, lemon, white pepper, and grassy, sort of dried leafy hops. The taste is sharp, kind of phenolic yeast, gritty wheat grain, a very softly caramelized pale malt, overripe lemon rinds, black pepper dust, further drupe fruit notes, and decent earthy, leafy, and grassy hops.

The carbonation is fairly tight, and a bit prickly in its rendition of frothiness, the body medium-light in weight, with an airy sort of smoothness. It finishes dry, the yeast dropping the final hammer, with a few grainy and hoppy essences mewling about.

An enjoyable BPA, in that is has more saison and hoppy character than is typical of the style. I'm still surprised at its affability, what with the yeast infiltrating all, but the overall crispness just sucks me in. Worth a try, even if y'all are no Brussels people.

Pours very hazy light yellow, one finger white head that leaves tons of traces as it subsides to a small lacing.
Tasty hops in the smell, floral and fruity, enhanced by the Belgian yeasts, so nice citrus, some pineapple, apple, pear, lime and faint peach. Some honey and bready malts too.
Taste has a short sweet flash, be careful or you might miss it (apricot, honey, tangerine), green apple acidity, unrripe grapes, followed quick by strong grapefruit, and it's all bitter from here on. You can hardly get some spices and biscuity malts under all the hoppiness. Big perfumey flowers, aromatic herbs, big grassy bitterness that blows up in the finish, really dry and rough. Not too clean either, there's some dry tobacco and a bit of earthiness.
Medium body and carbonation. Not much left in the aftertaste but a huge bitter feel. Unfortunately you carry it on till you drink again, and the fruitiness gets harder and harder to detect.
I expected hops, but this felt way too unbalanced. And i actually like hop-punches. Something was off.
