Purchased at Johnny's off-licence in Rome in March 2023, muled back to Australia, and drunk in November of that year.

L: Crystal clear, golden yellow with a bright white, large, fluffy head that leaves heavy lacing in the glass. Vast amounts of bubbles swirl around, sending the sediment I accidentally poured into whorls and cartwheels throughout. It's a beautiful beer.

S: Light, funky, spicy yeast notes tinged with orchard fruit, hard lemon candy and a slightly herbal, peppery note.

T: As with the aroma, there are spicy Belgian yeast notes and a stronger-than-in-the-nose peppery bitterness. A mild lemony note sits under the pepper. The taste profile is relatively reserved compared to some of the more flamboyant Belgian triples, but making up for it is that the bitterness lingers long after the swallow and turns quite acrid and harsh, but which is never out of balance with the beer. The 8% ABV is hidden extremely well.

M: The body is full and smooth, and carbonation is minimal despite the visuals on the pour. A thick coating of head lasts through the glass. Carbonic prickle is minimal.

O: A very enjoyable, balanced Tripel that retains interest throughout. I would happily drink another if it were at hand.

Cheers

Golden colour, clear. White foam, forms a compact, high, made up of small bubbles and a persistent "cap" on the surface of the beer. Leaves quite a lot of frothy 'dirt' on the glass.
The aroma is quite delicate. There are sweet malty notes, grassy hops, yeasty and mildly spicy notes.
Taste is dry. Bitterness of herbal character slightly sharp and harsh. Its intensity and duration, in plus, evolves with time.
Alcohol well masked. Saturation high. Texture smooth. Body medium plus. Aftertaste long bitter, herbal.

I had this on draft 2/1/23 @ the Hopleaf.

Mostly opaque orange/yellow appearance.

Small off-white head; nice lace.

Banana, vanilla & faint lemon peel notes in the nose.

Creamy medium mouthfeel.

Banana, vanilla & mild lemon peel flavors.

Balanced and VERY tasty tripel. I'd have many more, if I could!

July 2014: 330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8%. 18.30 degrees P. Cloudy pale golden colour, moderate white head. Strong aroma of spicy Belgian ale yeast, peppery and some fruity notes. Peppery and hoppy flavour (49 IBU), not too sweet, not too dry - well balanced. Very good - a beer I’ll have again.

Had on tap at Glory Beer Bar & Kitchen in Philadelphia. It was an enjoyable tripel, but did not stand out to me as one of my favorites in the style.

Best beer I have had from la senne easy. Hazy straw yellow with a huge white head. Banana and general fruit esters lead the nose with decent floral hops, belgian yeast, and grains. Taste is much the same, but has some booze on the back end that is stronger than expected, still the ester-hop interaction is what makes this beer tick. Feel is soft, scary drinkable, smooth and yeasty.

De 32go. En copa Grimbergen. Jugando a Medieval.

L- Mid amber, pours with large head- holds well 5mins later.
S- Quite verdant, fresh trees.
T- Smell follows on, pungent (ABV) but fresh, zesty hops notes, into zingy finish.
F- Feels somewhat like a triple, but it's bright and piquant, so it stays interesting,
O- Very nice indeed. I wish I had a couple more to consider at greater length. Pungent and heavy, yet very balanced and refined in the finish < I think that's why I'm enjoying this ;ast beer of the night so unexpectedly much. I should, and would happily buy this again, and perhaps give it a little more care and time next time.
330ml bottle. Bought from Bacchanalia Mill Road Cambridge. 330ml bottle.

Poured from a bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Hazed light golden pour with massive fluffy white head. Lasts an eternity... crazy lacing. Sediment at the end of the pour.

S: Toasted grains... yeasty esters, fruit, light citrus, banana, and clove.

T.F: Semi-sweet and spicy. Toasty malts... Belgian sugars and yeast... fruit... cloves and nutmeg. Spicy hops. Over-ripened pear and apple peel. Prickly carbonation.

O: A solid tripel... not one of the very best but well above average. Easy drinking and tasty.

Pours a clouded yellow golden color with a bigger, froth head.

Smells of older leaves, rich wheat and lighter citrus.

Has a well nuanced, slightly effervescent carbonation with a smoother, medium body.

Tastes of lime zest, caramel and soft wheat among lighter toffee. Turns a tad dryer then with a mineralic carbonation peak to it, coated by smooth, slightly. Finishes malty, with a short bitter hop appearance, more toffee and gentle yeast.

Solid, dry Tripel with a pleasant mouthfeel to it, allowing for a nice hops and malts interplay.
