The body has a pale honey color with a thick white head; slightly cloudy from the yeast sediment. The smell combines mild citrus notes with grass and old fruit tones. The flavor a slightly sweet note with some tartness and astringency; big hop bitterness throughout; grapefruit. Medium-light body; crisp and dry finish.

An easy drinking yet slightly pungent pale ale. The malt character is smooth and mild while the hops and yeast combine to create a very dry beer.

A. There are a lot of small bubbles coming up the side. It leads to a white bubbly head that leaves some lacing. It has a light caramel color. It is completely opaque.

S. It has a thick, grassy, lemon hop scent.

T/M. This has a beautiful, grassy belgian taste to it. It's a mild lemony hop taste, with a good malty smoothness. There's a grape, or dark fruit, undertone to it, but it has a nice celery/grassy taste. Carbonated and medium-to-full bodied, but refreshing.

O. I thoroughly enjoyed this. It was flavorful and refreshing; nothing was over the top and there was a nice balance.

Poured from tap at the Avenuie pub in NOLA into tulip. Pours a hazy golden, heafty head and thick lacing. Smells of wheaty hops. Taste is of again wheaty hops and a bit of fruity bite. Slightly bitter but smooth and creamy. Really nice brew and pumped I got to try.

This beer was sick.

Poured a clear yellow with a foamy white head that attached to the sides of the glass.

Big floral and spicy belgian yeast nose. Lemon/citrus, grassy, white pepper.

Taste was so refreshing. Light bready malt. Not much sweetness. Bitter, floral, and grassy hop finish. Spicy belgian yeast and lemon zest in between. Crisp and dry all day. So simple yet so good.

From the bottle at 't Brugs Beertje in Brugge during last week's trip to Belgium.

Served in a De La Senne cervoise.

Pours a hazy gold with a big, foamy white head. Lots and lots of lacing. Seems like I'm saying that an awful lot lately.

The nose brings some grassy and floral hops along with a bit of citrus and straw. Flavor is all about the hops, though there's some light pale malt in the background. Good floral character and slightly earthy with some citrus. Light body and good carbonation. Very delicate with a dry finish.

Bottle from Belmont Station.

Pouring a clear light orange (until I dump the yeast in, at which point it turns hazy), this beer is capped with a dense, white head with excellent retention and gorgeous lacing. On the nose and the palate, this is all that I love about Taras Boulba, appropriately amped up. A soft, hoppy nose with peach, pineapple, honeydew melon, along with honey, cotton candy and a little bit of vanilla cream. Beautiful balance. The palate's similar, opening with a gorgeous balance between hop flavor (peach, melon), hop bitterness (pine-like) and malt (cotton candy, white honey). There is also a touch of peppery flavor here. Drying and mildly resiny on the finish, this beer is highly but creamily carbonated, leaving a blend of honey, pineapple and peach on the finish. Exquisite.
