This is the Tallgrass Zombie Monkie with added vanilla bean and cocoa.
Enjoyed poured into a pint glass from a firkin at a local pub.
Pours a totally opaque, dark brown/near black with a dark tan head.
The aroma is loaded with dark chocolate and a hint of underlying vanilla and dark roast.
The taste is big, big dark chocolate, hints of vanilla and a bit of sweetness and then a really nice, lingering bitter chocolate taste.
The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with just a hint of carbonation. Actually, much better mouthfeel than the standard Zombie Monkie.
Overall, I wish this was regularly available. It's a beautiful and flavorful beer that is fun and easy to drink and loaded with flavor.
