On tap at the Blue Door in St. Paul. IPA should go well with Blue Door blucys. What doesn't go well with Blue Door blucys?
To cut to the chase, this is an average beer through and through. Pours an amber/orange, with negligible froth on top. Smell is a decent blend of malt and hops. They certainly don't shy away from the hops, but in terms of taste, this is not near agressive enough to measure against Double IPAs. Pleasant enough, and really not a bad beer at all. Sure, I recommend it, but it did very little for me on the memorability test.

Wow!! This one was a very pleasant surprise, after having Ethos, my expectations were that this one would be inferior, but in my opinion, that was NOT the case. One thing, I prefer piney IPAs vs grapefruity ones, which makes me biast in favor of this one.
As mentioned above, this has a piney hops flavor to this one, a lot like Sierra Nevada's Torpedo, which I adore. I'm not experienced with the ESB part, so I can't say much there, but overall, this beer absolutely hits the spot, and I will be a regular customer year round.
