Notes/Commercial Description:
We love this beer here at the brewery, and think you will have one of those “I’ve never-tasted-a-beer-like-that” kind of moments when you try it!

What we really like about this beer is the smoothness that brewing with cream sugar brings to the palate. This smoothness balances out the copious quantities of roasted barley used in the brewing process to create a rich, complex, and delicious beer. If you have not been a stout drinker in the past, give this beer a try. It might just change your mind about how dark beers should taste. It tastes so rich, but is surprisingly easy to drink!

A - creamy off white tall head. A bit of red around the edges.

S - caramel, chocolate, coffee and a hint of wood. Got a little bitter after a few minutes.

T - smokey with sweet caramel. A touch of yoohoo in the finish.

M - creamy and smooth with good coating. Mild tingle on front of tongue.

O - I could brink this as an all-nighter.

16oz can, Drink By 07/25/14
L - near black with a creamy tan head, good retention
S - cream, chocolate, roasted barley, sweet
T - chocolate, roasted barley, caramel, cream, vanilla, oats; nice balance
F - very creamy and smooth, easy to drink, medium body, slight peppery prickle on the tongue on the finish
O - very well constructed creamy oatmeal stout/oaty milk stout? I'll buy this again at the right price. It is always available as a mix 6 ($9.99) at my local grocery store, which is nice.

Tallboy can poured into Imperial tulip pint glass. Dark reddish-brown, almost black body with a huge, rocky, tan head that doesn't want to go anywhere. After nearly five minutes it finally drops to a solid half finger with thick, sticky lacing. Damn, this is a good-looking beer.

Aroma is coffee, cocoa powder, and heavily roasted/toasted malts. Hint of lactose sweetness. Dark stone fruit esters. Bready.

Flavor is fairly straightforward, but pleasant. Sweet cocoa and creamy flavors with a slightly ashy roasted finish to balance it out. Caramel and dark sugars. Slightly nutty.

Light/medium-bodied and moderately carbonated. Flavor is a bit thin but the oats give it a little extra mouthfeel. Very soft and creamy.

A little thin and very straightforward, but a pleasant and easy-drinking beer. It doesn't particularly stand out in any way, however.
