Notes/Commercial Description:
We love this beer here at the brewery, and think you will have one of those “I’ve never-tasted-a-beer-like-that” kind of moments when you try it!

What we really like about this beer is the smoothness that brewing with cream sugar brings to the palate. This smoothness balances out the copious quantities of roasted barley used in the brewing process to create a rich, complex, and delicious beer. If you have not been a stout drinker in the past, give this beer a try. It might just change your mind about how dark beers should taste. It tastes so rich, but is surprisingly easy to drink!

Poured from a 16 oz tall boy into a nonic pint glass.

A. Pours a viscous black with some hints of mahogany when you hold it up to the light. Decent to finger width head that sticks around in a nice way. Splotchy lacing.

S. I get a lot of roasted malt mixed n with some fairly strong milk chocolate aromas. There is a definite milkiness to it aside from the chocolate.

T. I get the same roasted malt in the flavor that I got in the nose. In addition to the creamy chocolate and milk favors (which are definitely there) I get a bit of vanilla throughout as well. The finish is fairly sweet.

M. Light bodied with a fair bit of carbonation. It feels a touch prickly at some points but smooth at others.

O. A solid stout. Nothing terribly complex, but might make me rethink my overall opinion of milk stuts.

Black in color with a head that was minimal and rapidly faded entirely. Delectable aroma of oatmeal, chocolate, and dark malt. There is plenty of oatmeal, chocolate, and dark malt in the flavor but the oatmeal clearly dominates. The mouth is a bit oily and thick.

On draft at Wobbly Bobby in Rapid City, SD.

The bar is lowly lit, but the beer appears near black and opaque with approximately a half inch of beige head. Big chocolate aromas with some milk presence. Chocolate milk flavor throughout. Elegant and light on the palate, but by no means thin. A tad sweet, complimented by some bitter chocolaty tones in the finish. Really tasty.
