We love this beer here at the brewery, and think you will have one of those “I’ve never-tasted-a-beer-like-that” kind of moments when you try it!

What we really like about this beer is the smoothness that brewing with cream sugar brings to the palate. This smoothness balances out the copious quantities of roasted barley used in the brewing process to create a rich, complex, and delicious beer. If you have not been a stout drinker in the past, give this beer a try. It might just change your mind about how dark beers should taste. It tastes so rich, but is surprisingly easy to drink!

Jake65 hooked me up with a couple of these in a good trade.. Pours a standard dark black with a fairly long lasting light brown head.. spotty lacing and a decent cap.

Nose shows a light roasty element that combines well with the milk sugars.. some chocolate notes show with warmth.. nothing mindblowing, but seems about right across the board for a sweet stout.

Roasty malt and a light coffee element is moved forward and is well integrated by the lactose.. again the chocolate note is more as it warms up.

Body is very smooth... almost like an oatmeal stout.. light carbonation accentuates the silky nature.

Pretty tasty... I typically don't seek out milk stouts too often, but this is well done and I am happy I have another can! Thanks Jake for the great trade!!

Served from a pint can into a shaker glass. A fairly aggressive pour produces about 3/4 inch of a tan colored head. This dissipates but sticks around nicely. The beer is very dark brown in color, almost black, and will not pass light from a normal light source.

Toasted grains and a bit of diacetyl in the aroma and flavor, with very definite coffee and chocolate tones and maybe a bit of toffee. A little grassy and/or hay-like. Creamy and smooth mouthfeel, but less than one might expect from an oatmeal stout, and therefore fairly sessionable. A bit of fruitiness is more apparent in the aftertaste. Maybe a slight metallic tang from the can, which is a plus with me...

Overall, a very decent stout, though perhaps a bit more like a porter in body. I like the fact that the beer comes in an aluminum can, which is much easier to recycle. Besides, I like tangy, metallic ambience provided by the can....

16 oz can poured into a pint glass

Appearance - Very dark brown, almost black. Good amount of head, decent head retention. A little bit of lacing.

Smell - Very malty. Strong coming out of the can, but so much in the glass, a little weak for the style.

Taste - Bold coffee notes. Roasty. Hint of chocolate. Big flavor that leaves palate quickly. Not as creamy as expected.

Mouthfeel - A little thin. Definitely more of a session beer than a desert beer.

Overall - A little disappointed as it looked great coming out of the can. Feels more like a porter than a stout. If you want to knock a few back, this is a good beer, but if you want something bold and palateable, look elsewhere.

Poured from a pint can into Irish pint glass. A foamy head started to build up quickly as I was pouring but then started to breakdown quickly afterwards. Upon smelling it, I could sense this is overly carbonated.

Unfortunately the aroma reminded me of cola. Maybe subtle hints of chocolate but not a lot.

Flavor is the best part of this beer. I tasted the roasted malt, chocolate, and some coffee. It's an easy drinker. The flavors does not wreak the palate and it's not complex. Yet the flavors are still enjoyable!

It has a light bodied mouth feel but seems a bit too carbonated in my opinion. But as the beer started to settle, it started to have a more creamy and smooth mouthfeel. Like other reviews said, I think it should be fixed with nitro.

Overall, on the plus side the flavor is great and it's an easy drinking beer at 5% ABV! On the negative side it seems overly carbonated and the aroma I do not find outstanding. Fortunately as the beer started to settle the mouthfeel became more tolerable as it was smooth and creamy. One other thing I have to add, I drank this pint in maybe 15 minutes or more. Don't know where the time went and I was not in a hurry. Kind of surprised I already finished it. Maybe I do like it.

After finishing the beer from the glass, the glass had a nice aroma of malt and chocolate. NO cola smell present.

16 oz can, with "Drink by" dating of 06-05-13 ( I'm a few months late apparently on this one)

Pours very dark brown, fluffy and lasting dark tan head that leaves a nice looking ring of low sheeting and scatteredt bits of lace.

I get a bunch of milk chocolate on the nose.

More milk chocolate, with some light coffee notes as well.

On the thin side, but that adds to drinkability of this flavorful and nicely crafted stout. Bring on some grilled meat and/or chocolate desserts.

Tasty and worth a try.
