Poured from 16oz can into a tulip. I believe that this is my first tripel from a can!
Appearance: medium golden hue with a light haze and a light effervescence. Head is two fingers of pillowy ivory foam with good retention; a nice chunky lace is left on the glass as it slowly dissipates.
Smell: sweetly malty with a nice, smooth tripel character. There is a pretty big hop element to the aroma as well; not exactly traditional but quite well-executed, I think. The hops are slightly lemony and very green and fresh.
Taste: flavor is quite like the aroma, with quite a bit of malt sweetness and a heavy hop presence for a tripel. I think it doesn't quite work as well as in the aroma, but in general it's pretty good.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess. i always like more creaminess in a tripel, but this is good enough.
Overall: a little hoppy, but in general a very satisfying tripel.

Poured from 16 oz can into tulip glass. Dated to enjoy by 11/04/2014.
A: Pours a light straw yellow with 2-3 finger fluffy off white head that seemed to last forever. Heavy sticky lacing,
S: Belgian yeast esters and a slight grassy funk. Banana and bubblegum. Rose petals and a bit of clove and pepper.
T: Ripe banana and biscuits. Belgian candy sugar. Some familiar flavors of a typical tripel, but not a strictly traditional one. Tends almost a little sweet.
M: Full bodied but with a champagne like carbonation. Fairly crisp finish that helps to offset the sweetness a bit.
O: Very drinkable and enjoyable brew. Maybe not a classic Belgian trippel, but a very good American version. Will have to grab a few more of these next time I'm through the midwest.
