Years ago we started our cask beer program to experiment with new flavors. Our very first cask creation was Buffalo Sweat oatmeal cream stout infused with whole vanilla beans. It was so well-received at its debut at a firkin festival that it quickly evolved into our winter seasonal. This variety adds the silky sweetness of vanilla to the original Buffalo Sweat, creating a rich and creamy, medium-bodied well-balanced beer.

"Drink by 6/25/15"; drank 5/8/15 @ the Yarchives.
Black/brown appearance.
HUGE, noisy tan head (careful pouring!); decent lace.
Vanilla & milk chocolate notes in the nose.
Creamy medium mouthfeel.
Oats & creamed coffee flavors up front; lots of vanilla on the mildly carbonated finish.
An easy drinking summer stout; a real nice quaffer.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This nice little brew pours a murky brownish black
with a very nice head of tan foam that subsides to a thick ring, thin light layer, and showcases
some nice light creamy sudsy lacing. Nose of roasted malts with light vanilla and cocoa with
cola notes intertwined. Flavors lightly exceed the nose with medium vanilla that is more pronounced
that the nose, light coffee and cocoa, and a subtly char touched malt that satisfies the stout lovers
quest. Decent mouth feel; medium lightly coating body, lightly slick, and a nice cocoa and vanilla
laced finish.
Overall a solid brew that improves with warmth
Cheers

Very dark brown color with a thick thin caramel head that disappears completely.
Delicious aroma with predominant but at the same time elegant notes of dark chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla and mild Bourbon.
Flavor with notes of vanilla, cinnamon, sprinkle of cocoa, powder milk, a hint of Bourbon, Coca-Cola, ginger and lemon drops. Dry aftertaste with a mild bitterness.
Medium to full somewhat creamy body with appropriate carbonation.
Flavorful Stout with clear vanilla, cola and cinnamon notes. Bourbon is a bit too mild.

12 ounce can, drink by 03/10/18 stamped on the bottom of the can. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around for a while. There's also a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like vanilla, roasted malt, bittersweet chocolate, oats and some cream. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there's also a bit of coffee noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick and smooth with a good amount of carbonation. I think it's a nice stout, certainly worth a try if you've never had it before. Not sure how much it was since this can was given to me from a friend of mine.

Beer pours a very dark coffee color with a small tan head. The smell has cocoa, vanilla and roasted malts. The flavor is a,smooth weak coffee. I didn't get any strong vanilla flavors. Overall another really good stout.
