Enjoyed on tap from Barley's Brewhaus in a standard pint glass.
Appearance - Crystal amber-orange color with a rocky white head of about a finger and a half. Outstanding sticky lacing coats the side of the glass as I drink it down.
Smell - Dominated by grapefruit and piney aromas, with some hints of herbal bitterness to follow as well as some floral characteristics. Very aromatic.
Taste - Again, the grapefruit element is the star, but it's not overpoweringly bitter. After the initial punch of the grapefruit, there is a faint underlying base of malty sweetness.
Mouthfeel - On the light side of medium bodied, with some silkiness and a dry finish.
Overall, a fantastic new offering from Tallgrass and perhaps my new favorite out of their catalog. Usually I'm not one to enjoy IPAs on hot summer days, but this one has some refreshing promise to it. Throw in the fact that it's a can and it's perfect for the pool or the lake.

Poured from a 16oz. can into a Sam Adams pint glass.
This beer pours an attractive orange-yellow with a little haziness. The huge head slowly dissipates to a nice lingering lacing all down the glass.
The smell is not extremely strong but initially hits with some tropical fruit, a hint of yeasty bread and maybe, a touch of caramel.
The taste is very bold. Piney hops blast you tongue along with some tingle from the carbonation. Then you pick yup some of the tropical fruits -- citrus, pineapple, maybe some mango. I get a bit of the sweet malt as well. Nice stuff going on here. The finish is all piney bitter.
The mouthfeel is slightly sticky with an appropriate amount of carbonation.
Overall, this certainly satisfies my hop-craving with a nice mix of flavors and a really decent balance. A really good brew.

A - poured into a pint glass. Poured a beautiful cloudy orange straw olor. Head was a monster 2 finger head. Little sediment very hazy the lacing on the IPA is amazing all the way down its leaving a heavy lace
S - a lot of pine and citrus mostly a lemony grapefruit, biscuity malt aroma and a crisp Bread Smell mmmm
T - Right off the bat pine pine and more pine and grapefruit towards the end I get the malt flavor.
M - a medium dry finish with little bitterness
O - I love this IPA it's a perfect harmony of sweet fruit flavors and bitterness. The malt blends really nicely and the bitterness is just perfect. Goes down easy and this might sound weird but my burps taste like grapefruit it's awesome lol
