Poured into a shaker pint glass.
Look: A deep ruby-brown body under a foamy mocha colored head. Light foamy lacing appears in little worm-like shapes on the glass.
Aroma: Faint chocolate and lots of toasted grains, toasted bread, and malts.
Taste: Much like the aroma, a chocolatey malt-driven experience occurs and is exclamated with toasted malts and grains. Very clean and smooth.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium, creamy, smooth.
Overall: Probably one of my favorite Tallgrass beers. So tasty and drinkable.

16 oz. can poured into an Imperial nonic. Dark copper with a relatively large and retentive beige head. Thin but noticeable lacing.
Aroma is very malt-forward. Toffee, biscuit, and a shitton of diacetyl, which unlike many English styles, is not supposed to be found in a mild. Light coffee and a few fruity esters.
Toasty, nutty, and coffee flavors. Very buttery. Sweet, syrupy finish combines with a mild, puckering astringency. The coffee flavors almost taste chalky.
Mouthfeel is thin but way overcarbonated for the style. Astringent.
I rarely say this, but this beer is just plain bad. Really bad. Totally cloying and a diacetyl-bomb. Horrible on its own and especially horrible rated to style. Drain pour.

Looking for a traditional English style mild ale. Dark brown body, white head, thin lacing. Malty aroma, minimal hops. Caramel and biscuit taste, low carbonation with thin mouthfeel. Sweet lingering aftertaste.
Reminiscent of traditional pub ales.
Overall, a solid malty session ale.
