Poured into a standard pint glass a burnt orange infused dull golden with a sticky half finger white head atop.Floral hops and orange zest with a bit toasted malts in the nose.Citrusy hops but not bitter by any means over top of lightly toasted bready malts on the palate.Doesn't seem to be as big as it is flavor-wise or in the feel.Solid.

12oz can poured into Blue Mountain can-glass

A- pours a clear golden color with a small creamy white head that retains long after the pour, with carbonation bubbles continuously shooting to the top

S- earthy and piney hop aroma up front, orange runt candy & grapefruit peel, sugar coated dried orange, light sugary malt

T- big shot of juicy orange flavor up front, quickly followed by piney & earthy hops, faint underlying sweet malt allows the hops to shine, orange peel/zest proves refreshing finish

M- medium body and carbonation leads to a creamy mouthfeel that continues through to the finish, high drinkability

O- very refreshing IPA that goes down very easy for 7%, hopefully this will be available in the summer

Golden to verging on orange with a 2 finger off white head that leaves attractive lacing.

The aroma is of grassy/piney hops with orange and orange peel. Refreshing.

Taste of bitter hops set off by llight pine and floral aromatics, with a substantial accent of orange. Probably the best tasting orange beer I've sampled.

Light in body, but still a light syrupy coating. Crisp with moderate carbonation. A little drying. Slight warmth of alcohol, but the alcohol is well hidden. Fairly easy drinking.

I really like this beer. I hope it's still available later this year, I imagine an orange flavored IPA would make for a great summer brew.

A: Pours a relatively clear honey copper in color with light to moderate amounts of active visible carbonation and a faint amount of amber highlights. The beer has a finger tall foamy white head that reduces to a large patch of medium thick film surrounded by a thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of citrus/orange juice, citrus/grapefruit pith, and light aromas of grainy + caramel malts.

T: Upfront there is light to moderate flavor of slightly sweet grainy + caramel malts. That is followed by moderate flavors of citrus/orange juice and citrus/grapefruit pith hops which imparts a light amount of bitterness in the finish which fades away pretty quickly.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.

O: Based on the name, I was expecting even more intense orange flavors than were present in this one. Enjoyable and easy to drink but the flavors are slightly muted in my opinion. Alcohol is well hidden.

Poured from a can into a shaker pint, the beer is a bright, slightly hazed, orange-gold coloring with a low profile, sparse, white surface coating of head. Aromas are piney and resinous forward, with a sugary sweet orange character, and subtle grapefruit tart and sweet. Smells like candy. Flavors are orange sweet forward, with undertones of roasted notes, piney and grassy hops, grapefruit tart, and a cracker backbone. Very orange overall, which totally works. The body is light, dry, and crisp. The beer has a tangy orange and pine pitch blend in the aftertaste, that lingers on past the dry, crisp, slightly effervesced finish. Tasty and refreshing.

A very good ipa. The Orange is just right, noticeable but not to much as to overshadow the good beer in there. Would love to try this again if it finds its way to jersey next year.

12oz aluminum can into a glass. Golden orange color with little head. Not clear but slightly cloudy but seemed to clear up after a few minutes. Aromas of citrus, mainly orange, hints of lemon and hops. Taste is like a west coast ipa. More citrus than hops. Clean and crisp. Smooth. Delightful IPA.

A solid IPA from Blue Mountain. Great name. The orange was subtle, but it was enjoyable.

12 oz can, had on tap a few months ago, but having this beer first tonight, and it's much better. Nice orange citrus scent and taste. Hoppy bitterness on the finish, very good.

Served on-tap in a Shaker pint glass at Beer Run (Charlottesville, VA).

A: Amber with short 1/2-finger off-white head with decent retention and a couple of thin lines of lacing.

S: Fairly lush overall aroma with juicy orange and grapefruit hop aromas meeting a mostly light crystal and pale malt aroma with mild graininess and light caramel notes. No significant yeast esters.

T: Full-flavored but not terribly complex with a nice citrus and floral hop character, with orange and grapefruit, light honeysuckle, and carried along with light caramel ale maltiness. No yeast or alcohol features. Bitterness is light-medium.

M: A bit creamy with medium-full body and light carbonation relatively.

O: A good beer but a little subdued for BM's first venture into AMerican IPA territory.

This beer is disgustingly underrated IMO. Very drinkable and has a fantastic aroma and flavor to it. Definitely different from what I have had across the hop board but without a doubt a very very very underrated beer, and will definitely be seeking out a trade for it or a place to buy!

Terrific low IBU IPA, the Orange plays an active but non-overwhelming role.

12 oz can into a teku.

Appearance: Pours a hazy copper color. The head is less than a finger high and white in shade. Even with what little head there is, retention isn't very good, nor is there much lacing left on the glass. (2.75)

Smell: Well, the aroma is typical IPA, for the most part: grapefruit, orange peel, and pine blend with lots of caramel malt. I do pick up some additional orange notes as well, though in a subdued fashion. However, this pops up more as it warms up. Not terribly impressive, but it gets the job done. (3.25)

Taste: It starts off with gentle notes of grapefruit and orange, before finishing with some caramel malts and piny bitterness. Despite the latter, this is really delicate and well-balanced. Having said that, it doesn't pop in any way. It's a decent beer with good cohesion between the orange and IPA characteristics, but little more. (3.25)

Mouthfeel: This doesn't feel as heavy as it could be, considering its usage of crystal malt. It's really balanced between being sweet and dry on the back end. Since it isn't terribly interesting, the drinkability isn't great - of course, a lot of that is due to low carbonation. (3.25)

Overall: I'm not blown away by this beer, but it definitely does some things right. It captures the essence of an orange-infused IPA nicely. Unfortunately, everything seems a little dull. Worth trying, just don't expect magic. (3.25)

3.22/5: Doesn't really excite me...but it ain't bad

A very refreshing brew. I love grapefruit sculpin, and this was a nice orange counterpoint to that. Very orange heavy without tasting like orange soda, I thought. This is an excellent hot weather summer beer.

12 oz can best by July 2015.

A: blondish, orange hazy brew.

S: struggling with this aroma a bit. cant really find much of anything really. a little bit of artificial orange juice.

T: tastes like orange tang in a beer. very artificial and not very good. bitter.

M: moderate carb on a medium body.

D: read above. I didn't enjoy this, I found the orange flavor much too artificial to enjoy it. pass.
