had this on tap at Hopworks. Pours a real nice clear straw color with a small head.
Balanced with real nice aromas of grains, crackers and some hop aromas as well.
Very smooth and complete feel with good flavors of grains, biscuits and a touch of hops.
This was a real quality pilsner. It was very smooth and had a real nice subtle take to it.

Appearance- Pours up an okay amount of head which has decent retention. The head is a fluffy, pure cotton-white while the body is a clear mix of light golden and straw that shows hints of lemon when held up to the light. Lacing tends toward sheeting for the most part.
Nose- Fairly subdued and lacks the hop aromatics you get from most Czech pilsners. Some grain, a light bit of cornflakes. A nice warm touch of honey. Light spice and floral notes but nothing that has enough presence to be fully representative of the style. Swirling reveals nothing. It is quite clean smelling as the BJCP style guide suggests.
Taste- Slight fruitiness that echoes the vinosity of white grapes and apple followed by a good presence of hops that range from spicy to rather earthy to slightly herbal and floral. Maybe even a little bit of woodiness but mostly earth. A tingle of spice on the finish. Some grain, cornflakes, and honey in the middle. Fruitiness starts to mellow and is replaced by the honey, the floral notes, and a slight chalkiness or mineral quality. Fairly clean tasting but could probably use a bit more presence (especially from the hops) to be truly representative of the style. Between above average to good- pretty much in the middle for me. Some grassiness.
Mouthfeel- Just above light bodied with lively carbonation that still manages to be smooth. Light honey notes make it seem a little syrupy on the finish. Nice dry finish matched with spice.
Drinkability- Pretty easygoing and would make a nice session or lawnmower beer. The problem for me is that it retails for a least 9 bucks for a four pack of pounders. If you drink these all afternoon and all evening, you will drop some money. Still would make a nice pairing with most Asian cuisines- something to keep in mind when I'm out for dinner.
Overall- Above average to really good beer. No real flaws but could be a better representation of the style. Still worth a try.

Cool looking can - black pop top is a nice touch.
Appearance: Golden, clear.
Smell: Malty. Crisp. Clean.
Taste: Clean, but overly sweet. Uneventful malt backbone overpowers yeast and hops tones.
Mouthfee: Average for the style.
Overall: I'm realizing that most HUB beers are overly sweet. Mass appeal? Perhaps. The descriptor above says Czech Pilsener, but I cannot discern any Czech yeast flavors. Nor Bohemian malt flavors.
