Pint from the source at the end of our first day in Portland, reviewed from notes on my cellphone, light golden orange color with some even lighter highlights, big 1 1/4 inch creamy white head that lasts several minutes, some lacing at the beginning, aroma has honey, pine, oranges, lemon, tangerines, toffee, hops which seem like Simcoe but I could be wrong, and also sweet malts, flavor is full of honey at first, some nice hop flavors in the middle, finish has a mix between creamy sugar and orange peel which provides an odd but nice balance, gets a little sweeter as it warms but not like I thought it would which was a good thing, slightly sweet, citrusy and creamy mouthfeel, moderatate to high level carbonation, thin to medium bodied, taste lingers well, could drink a lot of this stuff, low in alcohol and very smooth for its style, not sweet like others I have had in the past, nice hop presence to balance things out and make this very enjoyable, would like to drink again and it is too bad this was a one off that was not bottled, recommended
Serving type: on-tap
