From BeerAdvocate magazine Issue #66 (July 2012):
LOOK: Hazed reddish copper, great lacing
SMELL: Toasted bread, citrus rind, mint, hay, caramel, spice, figs, yeast
TASTE: Very smooth, creamy, toasted bread, hop bitterness, buckwheat honey, earthy, orange rind, nutmeg, evergreen, faint alcohol warmth, dried plums, peppery, grainy, semi-bitter finish
An all-around solid and very well-balanced American Red Ale with that PNW trademark lien to hops. Organic as well, which seems to be no longer a trend but perhaps a life-choice for some. Thankfully for them, they have beers like this. Great job on this one!

Beautiful deep Amber color with a moderate head. Nice earthy taste just a few shades toward 'dirty' as compared to a normal IPA. Caramel and hops meet in a nice balance. Satisfying mouthfeel. Summer and this brew go together.

Beautiful color, lacks faintly on the aroma and flavor. I like a little more caramel maltiness in my reds but that is just personal. Overall, a great IRA. Cheers!

A wonderful red IPA. There are lighter floral, juicy, and grapefruit notes in the aroma along with a serving of caramel. The flavor also hit peachy notes before the spicier grapefruit and citrus rind kick in. Then there's a fantastic dry bitter finish. Great example of the style, reminds me of Surly Furious and Troegs Nugget Nectar.

Bought 16oz can from Don Quiojte. Cloudy ambder color, slight bitter aftertaste, hoppy smell, thick mouthfeel, creamy taste with hints of chocolate at first but then the hops taste comes out, overall a good beer.
