Appearance. Pours a very hazy honey-amber with a thin white head.

Smell. Floral, slightly earthy hops and citrus fruits with some toasty light grains and a tough of caramel.

Taste. Dry, earthy, and lightly herbal hops with a little citrus rind and some toasty light malts. Not much sweetness here. I wasn't sure how "English" this was going to be going by the smell, but I get it now.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with smooth, medium carboantion.

Overall. A nice dry IPA with some interesting english style hops and a touch of citrus that gives it a little zip.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a hazy, light golden amber with a half finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of citrus, light pineapple and sweet malt. Flavor is bright citrus hops and citrus rind, mild sweet malt, finishing with citrus and pine hops, slightly floral. Medium bodied. A nice neutral malt body that is supportive, but allows the hops to shine through. Not a hop forward, intense IPA, but one that presents the hops distinctly on the tongue. I really liked this. Note that this bottle clearly states 6%, not 8%, so perhaps the ABV has been changed for this year.

Pours a hazy pale golden with a foamy white head.

Citrusy, floral hops, a solid crackery malt base.

A quite well done IPA.

On tap at Hopworks last night. A hazy light orange with a dense, white head with decent retention and lacing, this looks solid. The nose is blah. Chalky grapefruit hops, a pronounced wheat and grain aroma with minimal sweetness, some bread. Hip character is mild on both nose and palate with mild citrus, some orange juice, a moderate wheat malt character and some bread. Drying but with a dextrinous fullness on the finish, this beer is decent. Meh.

22oz bottle poured into a tulip. Clear amber color, 1-finger off-white head.

Aroma is mostly caramel malt and dank floral hops.

Taste is malty, floral, and bitter - all combined. An almost grainy, herbal quality. Fruitiness is strong - apricots, mango, something a little chalky.

Medium bodied, coats the tongue. Alcohol present but not dominant.

Overall not a beer I'd seek out again.

Clear golden color with a modest head. Foams up nicely with every pour. Light body with a pleasant spritzy mouthfeel. Light and lemony with a tangy, malty background. Some sweet malt and the sharp hoppy oils. Warm and fragrant taste with a hint of fruit and the slightest vegetal dankness. Bitterness is more of an afterthought, so it's not the typical hop blast. A very drinkable and friendly IPA.

Brewer rates this at 60 IBUs. From the 16 oz can bought at Market of Choice on 29th in Eugene.

Appearance- Dark caramel color with a big bubbled, off white head. 4/5

Smell- Aroma has a Belgian yeast character. Bits of clove. 3.5/5

Taste- Taste starts out like a small Belgian. Some banana and cloves flavors. The sip ends with a nice caramel malt blast. Little bitterness in the middle. 3.5/5

Mouthfeel- Medium mouthfeel throughout the sip. 3.5/5

Overall- Good beer. Don't know if I will be running out to get another, but enjoyable non-the-less. 3.5/5

"English Imperial IPA"?? Nothing about this is Imperial OR IPA. Don't really understand the style placement, but then again, I won't know what style to place this in either.

A frosty looking ruddy amber. Cloudy, except at the edges where it thins out a bit. Frothy cream head. Good retention, solid lacing.

The nose starts vinous and sweet. Very green. Bright with a belgian yeasty fruitiness

A good bit of juicy hoppiness finishes with a fruity skylight finish. The texture and body of the wheat become apparent

I love me the Pig War and memories of Cattle Point from HS, and this is an enjoyable IPA, but I wouldn't... start... a war... over it (nice)?

A: Pours a caramelly red color not too much head no lacing, tight bubbles up the corners of the glass
S: Smells earthy and herbal. Slight caramelly maltiness.
T: Caramelly sweet maltiness with herbal and earthy hop bite at the end. Very well balanced
M: Pretty warm beer, seems a bit more than 8%, smooth going down.
O: Nicely balanced stronger English style beer, different but I like it.

Bomber poured into my Bier Stein snifter, Pig War is clear gold with an off-white head leaving light foamy lace.

Smell is candied citrus hops, orange marmalade, moderate, some resins.

Taste is fine, it's a decent if generic PDX IPA. The wheat, ehh, I guess it's there, it's clean and bright, some fresh cereals, but this is an IPA, and the flavor forward, low bitter citrus hop bill is the star.

Mouthfeel is very foamy, soft, light bodied.

Drinkability is fine, it's an easy drinking IPA but unremarkable. Overpriced, I doubt the cheaper wheat would make a difference in taste.

22oz bottle purchased at an Albertson’s in Kennewick, Washington. First beer I’v ever had with the term “estate-grown hops” on it, though I’ve frequently consumed bottles of wine made with estate-grown grapes. For some reason, the label reminds me of the old Space Invaders video game.

Pours a ruddy, orangey color, very hazy. Small, beige colored head.

Big, citrusy and earthy nose. Fairly different-seeming.

Surprisingly sweet tasting. There’s some citrusy hops but there’s a lot of maltiness as well. There’s that same grainy, earthy thing that was going on in the smell, too. I’m not sure what this tastes like, but I wouldn’t expect it in an Imperial/DIPA.

Fairly slick mouthfeel, and somewhat surprising amount of body. Somewhat low carbonation, but not to a crippling degree.

Interesting beer from the folks at HUB. Although I like it, I think one bottle will do me, as it doesn’t seem like a beer for sessioning, either from flavor or abv viewpoints.
