On rare occasions the forces of the Universe smile and align to provide a memorable experience.
My moment was wandering into Bayley's Taproom in Portland and choosing this beer.
Served on cask in a nonic.
What a joy to behold. Every sip to be savored until sadly, it's gone.
Appearance alone is bewildering. Cloudy. Striated. Somewhat pale at the top, clearly defined layers of accelerating darkness to the bottom. A rusty amber. Amazing!
No head no lace but who cares?
Move on to the aroma which is overpowering grapefruit. And each sip follows. A hop fiends delight.
There is nothing bad to say about this beer and I feel very fortunate to have the chance to experience it.
