22oz bottle. Nice bit of American history that was heretofore unbeknownst to me detailed on the label, in terms of this offering's curious Black Sabbath-adjacent name.

This beer pours a rather hazy, pale golden yellow colour, with two fat fingers of puffy, bubbly, and loosely foamy chalky white head, which leaves a pleasant array of layered tree branch lace around the glass as it slowly sinks away.

It smells of slightly dank pine resin, muddled citrus pith, earthy yeast, gritty pale and wheat malt, mixed tropical fruit, and further leafy, floral, and perfumed hops. The taste is sharp pine needles, denatured orange and white grapefruit rind, edgy yeast, an even more laid back bready and wheaty graininess than in the nose, ethereal notes of pineapple and kiwi flesh, and more leafy, perfumed hop bitterness.

The carbonation is fairy active in its tightly frothy rendering, the body a sturdy medium weight, and plainly smooth, the hops playing the role of the Sword of Damocles here. It finishes mostly dry, the hops and now well-faded yeast seeing little in rebuttal or uprising from the malt.

A pretty tasty and enjoyable IPA, the 'white' characteristics clocking out shortly after they show up for their shift. Acerbic, bitter, and with very little malt balance, this one should appease the hopheads out there (my thumbs are too busy typing this).

16 ounce can served into an oversized tulip.

Cloudy orange body with strong carbonation visible. The head is sticky, frothy, and foamy and almost cream-colored. Lace islets and streaks are all over the glass. 4.25

Such a rich orange peel aroma and sweet melon and honey. Quite an attractive nose. This really impresses me. Tropical in all the right ways with a touch of yeasty aroma. 4.5

Hmm... Wha happen? This smelled so awesome, I thought I was in for a real treat, but the flavor is a significant drop. Mango sticks around at least, but for some reason, I find this a bit watery and flavorless up front, then comes a bite of alcohol and it isn't till late on the palate and the aftertaste that I start finding the lovelier fruit flavors. 3.5

Alcohol is way to apparent on the flavor and feel, I have to say it again. Then I have to grapple with the watery feel up front and the transition from one to the other just compounds the harshness. The yeast feel has a bite too that lingers dry and bitter on the tongue and mouth and perhaps on its own would be fine, even enjoyable, but in concert with what I've mentioned just undoes this beer for me. 3.25

As I continue sipping it I truly find some great flavors in here of mango and melon and honey but my mouth isn't quite pleased with me for plowing through.

16oz can poured into a pint glass.

Appearance: Pours to a thick ivory head with a slightly hazy and golden Hue.

Smell: Citrusy and yeasty aroma with hop and wheat undertones.

Taste: Citrus, especially lemon, hop bitterness that gives way to a noticeable wheat flavor. Not nearly as bitter as expected being an IPA. Light spice flavors that finishes dry.

Mouthfeel: Semi-light mouth feel with a moderate amount of carbonation that finishes dry

Overall: First Hopworks beer that I've tried and my first review on BeerAdvocate. I am usually not a fan of wheat beers but the hoppy bitterness and light feel made it much more palatable.

Pounder can picked up this afternoon at the COOP... Pours a clear light orange with a nice white head.. decent lacing.

The nose is pretty proper... nice citrus elements and phenolic hoppiness...

Flavor mirrors the nose.. something that I pick up as bubblegum phenols... but the IPA notes are nice and still lite coriander elements show...very dry on the finish.

Great canned brew... I would LOVE to have this out camping in the Sawtooths

Hopworks Urban Brewery 'Pigwar White IPA' @ 6.0% , served from a 650 ml bottle purchased for $6
A-pour is a pale gold from the bottle to a hazey yellow/gold in the glass with a medium size white head leaving a streaky lacing along the pint , second pour has a lot of floaters
S-floral & fruit
T-somewhat smooth & crisp tasting white IPA ,
MF-ok/decent carbonation , big medium body , a dryness lingers on the palate
Ov-ok beer , bit dissapointing

Pint can bought from "Lifesource" in Salem. $2.29. Slightly hazy pale orange in colour, good sized creamy/thick eggshell white head. Very strong resiny, citrus hops, sweet with a small touch of bread. Smooth ..citrus hop and caramel flavours..some orange peel in the end, touch of bitter herb. OK mouth feel its low carbonated and easy on the tongue. OK white IPA had better though!
