This brewpub looks sleek and a bit swanky from the outside, plenty of stainless steal and loud colors, dominated by yellow and red. It feels a little cold on the inside, devoid of so much of the wood and brass normally found at a brewpub. However. the bike frames hanging above the main bar anchor the modern geometric decor. Several faux bank vaults are located in the bar area, one which houses a table that can accommodate up to around six people a la the snugs found in Irish pubs. My friend Dave especially enjoyed the extension of the bike theme (the brewmaster/owner is a cycling enthusiast) found in the restroom: bicycle seats mounted to the wall above the urinal, on which one could rest their head while micturating. We thought this genius, while our wives found it unsanitary. They've never used a urinal before obviously.
The quality of the organic brews was solid. I especially enjoyed the Czech lager and the Flog N Noggin Barley wine. The Winter lager was solid as well.
The service was a bit slow initially, but they were getting slammed all at once. Once the server arrived, she was very attentive and knowledgeable.
I did not check out the guest brews, but the house brews were varied to appeal to all tastes.
We did not eat much food, but the hummus was good and the spinach salad was solid as well. All the product is from local, sustainable producers.
I would certainly frequent this place if I lived in the SE quadrant of Portland.

This was stop #17 for my wife and I on a 21-day pub-crawl from Michigan to N. CA and OR. We stopped here early on a Saturday morning to try their beers as a kick-off to our Saturday version of our pub-crawl. The pub is situated in a storefront of a multi-story, modern building that looks like it has apartments above the brewery. The interior has a bicycling theme, and there is a long bar with some bar tables and stools that are separated from the larger dining area.
We ordered a flight of 10 beers out of the 15 that were available (there were also 3 Radlers or Ciders). All of the beers were brewed very well to their respective style, and all but two were well above average so that the 10 beers averaged out to a 3.8 out of a grading system with a 5.0 max score. (Any individual beer score above 4 is difficult to come by in our scoring, so this is a great score.) It was too early to eat, and only one person was at the time, but we didn’t even look at the menu, thus no food score is included in this review.
This was a great place to start our day, and definitely a place that we’d return to when we come back to Portland. This is a Must-Stop place.
