Our take on a kolsch style ale that is soft on the palate with a delicate malt flavor. Balanced with a touch of wheat and honey notes .Dry and wine like with a flowery hop finish.

Poured from a 12 oz. can into one of my stange glasses, this beers pours a fairly cloudy/hazy golden color with a nice shite head that's well over an inch thick when first poured. Settles eventually to a solid 1/4 of an inch thick with a thick ring lining the inside of the glass and some nice lacing. Aromas of bready, zesty malts, floral hops, a bit of yeast, and hints of citrus and grape. Flavors of some bready, slightly zesty malts, a hint of honey sweetness, a bit of yeast, subtle fruit notes of grape and citrus, and a note of floral hops that add just the right touch of bitterness to round out the flavor profile here. An excellent flavor profile that's somewhat unique for this beer style w/ all the different things going on taste wise. Has a crisp, smooth, slightly frothy, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish, and all of the different flavors linger nicely on my palate for awhile after each sip for a nice aftertaste. Yeah, this is a good one.

12 oz. can dated 6/27/22 poured into a Becher pint glass.
Hazy dark gold, two fingers mixed white head. Full lacing curtains and surface cap.
Pear, mineral, yeast, floral aromas.
Bread, apple, pepper, grape, lemon zest flavors.
Medium bodied, good carbonation, dry finish.
Refreshing summer ale. A few departures from the kölsch style but enjoyable and readily available fresh.

From notes 10/20/13: Pours a hazy straw with 1 finger of fast diminishing, white head. Aroma is crisp and dry, grain, biscuit, lemon and light grass. Taste is grain, pale malt, lemon and grassy hop notes with a lingering bitterness. Dry, clean and very drinkable.

Aroma is light, lemon, slight bready malts.
Color is darkish yellow with a 1/3 inch white head that recedes quickly to a thin cap and ring, leaving some strings of lace on the glass. A slight haze. Lots of carbonation.
Taste is bready with lemon, a little honey-like sweetness, little to no bittering. Fairly true to style. Light on the tongue, but enough going on with the interplay between the malts and hops to keep it interesting. Excellent flavor.
Feel is thin, as expected for the style.
Finish has a little bittering in the finish and aftertaste, with the pleasant malt body and lemon flavor lingering on the tongue.
A very nicely done Kölsch.

I tried this beer at Hudson's Restaurant in Hilton Head, SC. It poured a clear golden with thin white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had faint grain notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with grain presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.
