Poured into a Cigar City snifter.
Pours pitch black with a quarter inch of beige head. Retention is ok, lacing is minimal.
Dusty cocoa, and some dark fruits. The nose is pretty boring though. Can't smell much at all.
Taste of black currants, raspberry juice, a bit of chocolate, and then a bitter and roast driven finish. The raspberry flavor is the most apparent, a bit weird, but good.
The mouthfeel is a bit light for the style. Well carbonated to the point of almost being dry.
This is a bit weird for a RIS. Mouthfeel is super light and the raspberry flavor is super distinct. It's weird, but it's not bad, just quite different from most other RIS's.
