Many thanks to Dan for delivery of a growler to my home town, this beer is delicious.
Appearance: First I had to stare at it through the clear Green's growler. Strangy brew indeed, Clapton would be impressed. Honey-Straw-Golden, glows from inside but you can't see through it. This is going to be good. Pour is hazy with a very nice head, lots of sticky lace.
Smell: The hops smack you in the face like a 2x4. You know instantly that this one is NOT going to be under-hopped. Sticky sweetness with the typical citrus and grapefruit elements, but sweeter than expected.
Taste: This is a distinctively souther DIPA, sweeter than the CA offerings, and thicker in appearance as well. Delicous.
Mouthfeel: Very full, rich and creamy.
Drinkability: Highest drinkability of a DIPA I have tasted.
I like that this is a distinctive style (and distinctively southern), as oppsed to the west-coast DIPA. Beats Pliny the younger and elder in terms of everything but smell, which could be because this growler might have been a week to old (due to my fault).
Forget blackbeerd, this is the star of the COAST lineup.

Bottled 4/24 and poured into my Teku...
A - Dark orange appearance, super sticky lace is all over the glass throughout consumption
S - Nice floral aroma, some muted cluster of fruits, grass and very dank
T - Citra wallops you in the face, grapefruit, oranges and the malt backbone is pretty significant
M - Medium body, mild carbonation, decent hop bite on the palate
O - This is a pretty great DIPA, which seems to be the common saying these days. I love the citra and malt combination as they balance each other out greatly both upfront and on the finish. Excellent beer.

Poured from the bottle into a small snifter.
A: Rich golden color with a short light tan head. Very honey-blonde in appearance.
S: Big juicy hop aroma with some caramel and light fruit.
T: Lots of citra hop flavor and some caramel with a lasting bitterness that isn't overpowering; plenty of fresh juicy fruit notes.
M: Smooth and semi-sweet with a dry, slightly bitter finish.
O: This was a very fresh bottle, less than three weeks old and I was very impressed. I am not typical an IPA fan, let alone DIPA, but I would drink this again in a heart beat. Gotta love those big citra-hop beers!
