A fresh breeze brings the aromas of mango and pineapple to the nostrils. The sunshine a bright hazy orange, the pollen drifting through the air and clogging our nostrils with gooey pine resin goodness. A huge head and sticky lacing there atop the hazy orange, and it's quite pretty.
We ran through the fields, we rolled down the hill as if we were children again... and now we lie side by side in the sweetgrass and take it all in. The aroma of fresh sticky grapefruit and mango mixes with the grass under us. All of these flavours are there, there is a bit of honey-caramel, and the finish is lingering dryness and light bitterness that leads us wanting more.
It's a full one, slightly syrupy, lingering syrup and astringency.
It's been a great day. it's excellent, nothing short. We can stand with any of the big boys. We now have a world class Double IPA in our state. Our pollen laden, breezy, green, and deathly warm state. Let's now have fun. :-)

Bottled 4/24 and poured into my Teku...
A - Dark orange appearance, super sticky lace is all over the glass throughout consumption
S - Nice floral aroma, some muted cluster of fruits, grass and very dank
T - Citra wallops you in the face, grapefruit, oranges and the malt backbone is pretty significant
M - Medium body, mild carbonation, decent hop bite on the palate
O - This is a pretty great DIPA, which seems to be the common saying these days. I love the citra and malt combination as they balance each other out greatly both upfront and on the finish. Excellent beer.

Poured from the bottle into a small snifter.
A: Rich golden color with a short light tan head. Very honey-blonde in appearance.
S: Big juicy hop aroma with some caramel and light fruit.
T: Lots of citra hop flavor and some caramel with a lasting bitterness that isn't overpowering; plenty of fresh juicy fruit notes.
M: Smooth and semi-sweet with a dry, slightly bitter finish.
O: This was a very fresh bottle, less than three weeks old and I was very impressed. I am not typical an IPA fan, let alone DIPA, but I would drink this again in a heart beat. Gotta love those big citra-hop beers!
