A sweet stout brewed with lactose. Mild roast, medium carbonation and a dry finish. Highly drinkable at a nice 5.7% ABV.

22 oz bottle poured into a snifter at cellar temperature.
L – Deep brown-to-black color with a 2-finger, creamy, bubbly, tan head. Really nice retention and some great sheets of lacing.
S – Mostly milk chocolate and sweet lactose, but there are also touches of vanilla and roasted coffee. One of the better smelling and more complex milk stouts that I’ve had the pleasure of having.
T – It starts off sweet with milk chocolate and lactose and then progresses to a bitter roasted coffee flavor. This definitely has more of a roasted character than any other milk stouts that I’ve had.
F – Light-to-medium-bodied with good carbonation, a creamy and slick mouthfeel, and a bitter and dry finish. Bitter roasted coffee flavors linger for a while.
O – This is a very interesting milk stout. I like my stouts on the more bitter, roasted side than on the sweet side, but finding the roasted character in a milk stout was an different experience. I definitely wasn’t expecting it, but that’s not to say it wasn’t a nice touch. It’s certainly very drinkable and another nice beer from COAST.

Pours a very dark wooden brown with a medium sized coffee colored head.
Smells of milk chocolate, lactose, mild vanilla, mild coffee roast.
Taste is far darker and more roasty than I expected, coffee type roast with fair bitterness. Chocolate again, plenty of lactose. Very good but not quite as good as I hoped.
Strong mouthfeel, full body and lots of carb.
A good milk stout that leans heavily toward the roasty end of the stout spectrum.
