Sort of like a hoppier English mild, but not really. Over 20% Carawheat. Glacier and Ahtanum hops.

Huge fluffy snow white head that has legs all the way to the floor. Excellent lacing down glass on a wonderful honey hue.
Sweet caramel maltiness that is sublimely matched with a well done dose of american and possible uk hops.Subtle caramel and well balanced citrus hops are the deazl.
SOOO SMOOOTH,wonderful malt and hop bliss mingle to make the most lovely of love.Sweet caramel so balanced with what seems american C hops. WOW what a brew.
For such a smell session brew this carries it's own weight. These cats are doing it for real- seek and drink.
The beers I haver consumed that COAST has made , makes me think WOW good beer is local. Seek, Find & consume!

A: nothing like what any other pale ale has looked like before. Bold mostly clear red with a small head that does not go away! I avoided drinking this for fear it was going to be a sort of session beer. Lookswise... not so much.
S: Nice. Malty. Hoppy. Like a pale ale should smell. Smooth.
T: A killer blend of malt and hops. A very nice balance. A subtle spiciness is a compliement. Very nice but not mind blowing. A little light.
M: Carbonation is a little overwhelming. Bitterness develops more than other flavors. Sits with a light/medium body,
Overall this is one of the better pale ales I've had. The flavors are well defined. This is like the Boston Lager of pale ales: brings something more to the table than the average.

Growler filled at the source.
Light amber-carmamel with a thin white head that settles to a slight ring. Nice aromas of British caramel malt, lightly toasted grains, a touch of roasted nuts, and mildly grassy/herbal hops. Superbly balanced. Taste is similar to the nose, a lovely balanced medley of caramel, grain, and fresh grassy hops. Mouthfeel is smooth, crisp, and drinkable, with a medium-thin body and solid carbonation. Infinitely drinkable, excellently balanced, and quite delicious, this is another great COAST brew. Cheers to David and Jamie!

22 oz bottle poured into an English pint glass at fridge-cellar temperature.
L – Medium amber color with a 1.5-finger white bubbly head. Decent retention but only some lacing. Clear with lots of bubbles.
S – Caramel and bready malt with a little apparent wheat and grapefruit, grassy, earthy, and piney hops. This smells terrific albeit a little hoppy for the style.
T – While the aroma seemed hop-heavy, the taste is extraordinarily well-balanced. It starts off sweet with caramel and bready malt and some citrus flavors. Towards the finish, pleasant bitterness starts to build with mostly grapefruit and some grassy hops.
F – Light-to-medium-bodied with lots of carbonation, a crisp and creamy mouthfeel, and a pleasantly bitter finish. Grapefruit hop bitterness lingers nicely.
O – This is a great beer. It is full of taste and is amazingly drinkable. The lower ABV makes it an especially good session beer. I love how the nose suggested a big hop presence while the taste was very balanced between the malt and the hops. The wheat malt used contributed a nice creamy aspect to the mouthfeel while still remaining light and crisp. Another fantastic beer from COAST!

Served this American Mild on tap at the brewery, in a pint glass. Poured a hazy brown color, produced an average tan head, minimal lacing left on the glass. The aroma consisted of toasted malt, fresh baked bread and had some grassy hop aroma. Medium in body, this Mild Ale had a foundation of malted grain, nuts and grassy hops. This was an interesting take on the style, Advertised as an American Mild, i see its actually classified as an English Pale Mild Ale. In any account, this is a lot hoppier then its classic English counterparts- in my book that is not a bad thing. Unique beer, nice session ale.

Served from bottle into a COAST Willi (proper!). Poured red-orange with a half finger off-white head that subsided to a minimal amount quickly. Maintained phenomenal lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, citrus, bread, citrus hop, fruit, vanilla, and subtle caramel. The flavor was of sweet malt, citrus, bread, citrus hop, caramel, caramel hop, and subtle fruit. It had a light feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a good brew. This brew definitely followed along with the mild name in the name of the brew. All of the flavors here were really nice and mixed quite well together. The citrus kiss here was definitely crucial as it tied everything together and made it all work in unison. Another really solid offering from COAST that I’m glad I got the chance to try. I suggest you do the same.

Got a bomber from the Piggy Wiggly in Myrtle Beach.
Appearance was a little cloudy, very little carbonation with a small amount of sediment floating in the beer(which isn't a big deal for me)
I picked up a little maple in the nose. Not strong or too sweet, but an appealing sweetness. Virtually no hop aroma.
Tastes very nice. Mild, with a solid malt taste which is balanced with a little hop note. Very sessionable with a easy finish.
Mouthfeel was a little surprising. Carbonation is more pronouncing in the mouth than appearance would suggest. Medium bodied, with a hint of dryness.
Overall, this is a very enjoyable beer. Low alcohol and very drinkable. I continue to be impressed with Coast and hope they make it up to North Carolina soon!

A: Had this beer on-tap at Oak Barrel Tavern, poured into a pint glass. Had a dark brown color and a thick, cloudy consistency. There was a small amount of foamy head that quickly dissipated. Not a lot of lacing.
S: A somewhat hoppy aroma, with hints of malt as well.
T: Interesting flavor on this beer: A big shot of malt, with much more hops than I expected. Also had a slight wheat quality, as well as a nuttiness. Almost tasted like a hoppier version of an ESB.
M: A good amount of carbonation with a dry finish. Medium-bodied.
O: This is the first English Pale Mild Ale I've tried, so I have no real context to draw from. That being said, this is an easy to drink, enjoyable beer. Drinkable.
