Didn't expect much form this place until I FREAKIN WALKED IN! This is a bog store. It's probably about 40X80 yards. Every bit of that 80yd long left wall was full of sixers and twelves, and further down there was a who section of singles and the option to build your own sixer. The selection was, in my experience, mind boggling. Oh, and there also was a parallel isle of beer when the singles section started. They sectioned off rows by country and then further down they sectioned the beer by type. Brown ales, Stouts and Porters, IPA, reg pale ales, Hefeweizens, Lagers, Dark Lagers, Lambics, etc.

I spend the first 15 minutes just staring and finally went through and, like the cheapo that I am, I looked for all the cheapest singles and built two six packs and another 4 beers. Walked out of there with 16 bottles. My wife thinks I'm nuts.

Now I am.

This place has gone horribly downhill over the past 2 years. There was a time where this was THE place to go to get hard to get beers, rare beers, or brand new beers to the market without driving into downtown Atlanta. Now this place has gotten a stale rotation of the same old, same old that every "big box" package store has.

Happened to be in the area on a Monday and cruised through. I spent about 15 minutes in their mix and match section. Mostly of my time was spent searching for beer that wasn't expired or unreasonably out of date.

You guys need to get a new beer buyer ASAP.

I found the store to be disorganized but I'm typically able to find what I'm looking for. Prices are average. Found the employees to be both helpful and friendly. That isn't to say that the employees I dealt with were necessarily up on their beer but they were willing to help find what I was looking for. The woman at the checkout didn't know what a stout was so, ya know, probably wouldn't feel comfortable asking her for a recommendation. Considering NW GA is kind of a wasteland when it comes to craft beer, this store is a great alternative if you don't have time to head into the city.

Total Wine is my go to spot for most things alcohol related. They usually get the new release stuff and rarer things to the state and have the best prices on most stuff that I have seen. I like the fact that I can usually find most stuff without much trouble, and if not, there usually is an associate floating around who can figure out if they have it or not. One downside to Total Wine is that I haven't met the "beer guy," someone who can keep me in the loop on what is coming in, what is new and delicious, and who can save me something in case it's scarce. Besides that, good selection, helpful associates, and good prices. Good place

Pretty easy place to get too on Barrett Parkway just off 75. Larger warehouse like setup

Mostly wine in the store, but a nice selection of craft beer and spirits as well. Lots of American micros, probably about 75% of what is available in the state as far as they go. Best part about Total Wine is that they sell singles. Imports are lacking though... I remember discussions where people claimed this place has a selection that rivals Greens and the pricing is often better. Well that couldn't be more wrong if you ask me. They have some Belgians, mostly St Bernardus, D'achouffe and Caracole offerings, with some others mixed in. Nothing really in the Oud Bruin, Lambic and other sour categories beyond Lindemans. Germans and Brits are represented moderately well here too, but nothing from the nordic countries.

Quality hasn't been an issue for me, but I've seen year old beer on the shelves. I hope they rotate their singles properly too. Nothing special about the service, at least I'm old enough where they don't scan my ID and all that junk anymore.

Price wise they are usually pretty good. Best deal I got was a Terrapin Side Project for $4.99 when the cheapest elsewhere, at the time, was $5.99. Other than that, the prices are fair for the market.

Total Wine is nice if you live up in the area, or if you need a couple singles, but there are much better options inside the perimeter

I visit this place about once a week. The beer selection is very good. They don't have a few seasonals, namely the Duck-Rabbit Baltic Porter, that come out but almost every other one that is out they have. Being in GA and outside of the Perimeter of Atlanta, they don't get stuff as fast as Green's or others in downtown Atlanta, but eventually they do get everything. I rarely find anyone who can help me with beer related questions, like when they might get a beer or any recommendations. Prices are average prices varying a dollar over/under the competition. This is the place that I frequent because it is the closest store that has an above average selection. For the casual craft beer drinker, this is the place, but if you want rarer stuff you might want to call ahead to see if they have it or just go to Green's or elsewhere. And their Stone selection isn't great. Either they sell out quickly or they just don't carry much.
