A: Translucent straw with a little bit of carb on the sides of my pint glass. Throughout the entire glass is what I can only guess is pineapple particulates, giving the appearance of backwash. The head is less than a finger of dirty white, quickly disappearing and leaving no mentionable lacing. The end result is one of the ugliest commercially brewed beers I've ever seen.
N: Standard Hefe with muted fluoride with a hint of inviting citrus fructose.
T: Initial taste is white spritzer, in a good way. The mid palate is sweet and thick, with pineapple clearly showing through but without being overpowering. The aftertaste lightens back out with the wheat and some more white grape. The lasting notes are rice, pineapple and acid.
M: Boilerplate for a Hefe but the end of the swallow displays a fructose thickness.
The actual taste of this beer is a vast improvement on what seems to be the base Hefe for this brewery. I generally hate otherwise decent beer foisted with fruit adjuncts but this Hefe is actually improved with the pineapple additives.

Pours a golden color with a slight haze that fell off to reveal perfect clarity by the bottom the glass. The head was scant but creamy white foam that fell with no lace. The nose is crisp wheat, a touch of bread, some grass, and a very light banana and a sweet little bit of pineapple. I think I am s=getting a bit of clove but not too much. Taste is excellent.. A nice sweet pineapple that is not too acidic and not too tart meets a flaked wheat sweetness. That mouthfeel is perfect. A little carbonation to keep it light, creamy, crisp an dry. Juicy middle. The bit of pineapple and banana are just enough to taste and enjoy but nothing that makes the beer too sweet or too much like a hefe. The clove disappeared on the palate for the most part and the hops came up deftly to balance this beer with a graceful bitter that you might not even notice.
Saucy little beer and I really liked it! Thank you Kerry4porters for giving me my first beer from Arizona.

12 oz can pours a barely hazed gold color with a modest cap of white head. Average retention and not much lace.
By the nose, I cant decide if this beer is trying to be an American Wheat or a Hefe. It has just a hint of clove and banana but not as much as most hefeweizens. The pineapple is mild at best, I might have mistook it for more yeast if unaware of what beer it was.
The pineapple is a bit more forward in the flavor, but still blends in with the other yeast flavors...this is definitely more of a hefe than APW I think. There is some definite yeasty phenols going on here - bubblegum and clove more than sweet banana. Wheat is fair enough, could be a little more snappy. Mouthfeel is decent - kind of like the beer overall - does the job but is not really all that memorable. I know pineapple is a tough ingredient to work with in a beer, but I dont see myself buying this again. If asked about pineapple beer, I would steer people to Rivertowne Hala Kahiki first.
